Quote24FPS Quotebuffalo7478 They were easily the worst band I ever saw live. Out of tune, off key, 'jamming' that was so disjointed it sounded more like tuning up during a sound check....but the trippy crowd seemed to love it... I think you've summed up the mystery to the very few people like us who don't get the appeal of the Dead. Whatever their admirers are hearing must go in their ears, sw

Not sure if you are joking, but thinking about it, it actally would be awesome and I bet the crowd would love it! Or they could play JJF again...

QuoteTurning To Gold The elephant in the room that no one is talking about is very obviously the money...if Bill is going to do more than 2 songs, or if Bill is going to tour the US, he is going to need to be PAID as a member of the band. And he has a pretty convincing argument as a founding member, to be entitled to a considerable share, and $100 million split five ways is a lot less per person

Quotelatebloomer Quotetreaclefingers It may also be that he is simply playing 'the victim' in order to make Mick and Keith look bad. He's closing in on his 80s...having to fly to North America and then zip around the continent, maybe this was his whiny way out. Hi 'expectation' on having to be 'asked' to do play or tour is slightly passive-aggressive. Why couldn't HE have asked if he reall

Damn I love this version of Gimme Shelter! And the 95 Amsterdam version also. However, nothing beats the studio version IMHO. Probably the best song the Stones ever did with Midnight Rambler a close second!

QuoteRollin92 QuoteGravityBoy Quote24FPS"I was very happy to see him. I don't know, really, what he wanted, to be perfectly honest." Maybe the courtesy of a soundcheck for a start? Absolutely agree, although, Bill could have told Mick what he wanted instead of going to the press. Then again what does Mick think he wanted...THIS IS BILL WYMAN, 30 YRS IN THE BAND, THE BLOKE WHO SHARED

Quotewhitem8 Oh yes, well I would love more off Ram! Anything! Smile Away is fantastic! And one of my favorites is Monkberry Moon Delight and Three Legs. Ram is probably my favorite album by him. So funky, weird, acclectic, and cool production. That deluxe box set of Ram was stunning! So much stuff in it, and beautifully packaged. My favorite. Picked the album up in the summer of 71...

QuoteTitle5Take1 You know the movie ABOUT A BOY? Hugh Grant plays the son of a composer who wrote a Christmas song that gets airplay every Christmas. And Hugh Grant lives comfortably off the royalties from that one song. Well, that's a realistic plot. Because I had a co-worker whose ex-husband's father wrote a hit song. It was a hit in 1950's. It's still a familiar tune in Western culture. In

QuoteDoomandGloom This is the greatest Allman Brother studio album. Produced by Johnny Sandlin an old friend of the band he was not intimidated by the these scary, scary characters. Story goes he had them record many takes on the songs and worked them like they never have been tried before or after. Yes Duane is the ultimate "Brother" but Dicky Betts and our very own Chuck seized the

QuoteDandelionPowderman Quote2000 LYFH QuoteDandelionPowderman According to "Bitter-Bill" - same ol' story... Why in the world do you think he is bitter? Bitter about what? Why can't this story be true? Is everything else he wrote in Stone Alone far fetched and simply Bill getting revenge? As discussed earlier, why would he chose this song (JJF) out of all the songs if it was not true

Quotehowled Bill is kind of like Gene Simmons in the numbers department. Gene Simmons is like a walking advertisement for himself, Gene Simmons Pty Ltd. I don't mind Gene myself, because he is over the top and that's showbiz and KISS. I tried to work out once, how many different partners Gene Simmons would have had to have been with to account for his numbers, and I think I ended up with

QuoteJayce Any theories as to who would have replaced Brian in 1967 had Jagger not been able to convince him to remain in the band? Taylor would have been what, 17 or 18 at the time? They probably would not have taken on such a youngster at the time, would they? Who would have come on -- would be interesting to hear your guesses. It also depends exactly when in 67. If say Jan/Feb before TSMR, t
