First look at the new design a minute ago. As I ain't a great poster, I should shut it down. Sure it might have taken a lot of hours to BV. I have to get accustomed to it.

I'm sure it's nice for elderly Stones fans that the fonts are much bigger now.

I am amazed by the negative reactions to this new look. It just takes time to get adjusted to it, that's all. I don't have a problem with it. I think it looks good.

I prefer the old look, but this is still good. Like somebody else mentioned (Green Lady?), what make this site more of a pain as of late is the "last post" link not working properly.

true, it's ok, but why accept it if we don't have to? Most changes in bulletin board design for years now are toward more visual bells'n'whistles, toward pseudo-features, and toward distractions and away from readable communication. Just because we're able to have these capabilities doesn't mean we should use them. Fan discussion used to happen on the newsgroups, which was much faster, and all about the writing (though prone to spam). A long message would take a fraction of the time to load as a brief post now, because there was so little code behind it.

I know I'm just one person but HATE this format! way to much space being wasted.

Can we go back tot he old ''Tell'' or is this for ever?? I mean ''tell'' was special now it looks like...you know!

Why does the font have to be so large? I prefer the old format a lot more.

What I did is decrease the text size in Firefox (CTRL+-).
Now looks much more like the previous layout.

I love the old forum because it is so much different from most of the other ones out there.

no it doesn't - there's lots of space wasted, you can't see what was written above.
...and this isn't even a text-heavy thread.
If you go 2 steps down with CRTL (-) you have a big box with nothing in it. the balance is lost.
quite annoying really.

My main problem is how narrow it is now. I think almost all of us are using widescreen monitors/laptops now and now about 40% of the screen is white (20% left side + 20% right side, middle part with content is about 60%) Maybe BV's gonna start having some advertising so then I can see the point but if not can we have our WIDESCREEN LAYOUT BACK PLEASE BV

The old version definately was simple and easy to blast thru! I guess i will get used to this layout but I preferred the older look! But that said, this is your site and you have every right to do with it or to it as you please BV! Thanks for all you do to allow us to use your site!

my two cents - i agree with whoever said, if it isn't broken, don't fix it. i like the "old" version with the new updates that BV had recently added.

maybe we could vote? start two new threads - post on one (once) if you want to keep the new one or post on the other (once) if you want to go back to the old one.

Well, I do appreciate the effort invested. But, I'm sorry, frankly, it kills my eyes. The old design was just fine. Please change back.
