Greetings fellow fans...I've been emotionally charged about the upcoming re-release of Exile, and all that its given me since that summer day in '72. Anyway, the heavy influences of Gram Parsons, Dr. John, Nicky Hopkins, the horns, etc. were part of what made this album so special. It was some sort of destiny, I believe.
Anyway, did Bill Wyman bring in Dr. John & his backing vocalists? I vaguely remember him playing with that New Orleans sound post Sticky Fingers. I obviously claim Exile as my favorite Stones album; but I must say that Let It Loose clearly is one of those songs pulled down with one big antenna...
Thanks, & looking forward to the Jimmy Fallon Shows.
