How to Search - old posts/archives?
Posted by: swiss ()

It looks like search only goes back around 3 weeks. Is this true? how does one find older posts to avoid posting redundant questions older than 3 weeks ago?

thanks very much
swiss

Well...since no one answered and I eventually figured it out, I will share for others seeking the solution.

Apparently the searchable archives goes back only a few weeks.

However, many years of archives are searchable via Google. I am sorry if this isn't quite right for people outside the U.S. I hope works but have no way of testing.

1. Go to Google

2. Select Advanced Search

3. Go to Find web pages that have...

4. type in your search terms

5. Go frther down the page to Search within a site or domain

6. type: iorr.org

7. hit ADVANCED SEARCH button

er ... okay, but you don't need to resort to google.
the iorr search gizmo offers various time frames. from memory, i think they're last 30 days, last 90 days, last year, any time
just scroll down to that part of the search page and choose the parameter you want.
