I have a question to those who download things like this: There are 65 files to download, how do you do this? Rapidshare (free account, I doubt that there are many people who want to pay for it) allows only 1 download at the same time, so I have to sit a day at my computer until I have downloaded all... And I have to start each download manually as soon as the last is finished, that would drive me crazy... Unbelievable... Who has the time (and the nerves) to do this? Can someone please explain this to me?

You can load the files in a download manager, by yes clicking on each link or using a download manager which recognises rapdishare files, alternatively you can use rapidshare's own d/l manager and load the links in all at once.

If you go the free route you have a reduced download speed and waiting time between files, so it would takes days to complete.

If you pay then you'll will max out your connection speed and get the whole set in a few hours depending upon your connection.

Me I pay for the premium service, a small price to pay to get the material, generously put up by others, that's what I regard as my part of the deal. The uploader then gets to extend their account for free depending upon the points they get for each download. It's only about the price of a beer for the month, not exactly wallet busting.

Alternatively, make a trade with someone who has the files you want.

My question was only a theoretical one. I never download anything here. I prefer torrents, much easier and cheaper! Why shall I pay for something I can get for free? And I get it earlier, since much here is taken from torrents. This Rapidshare Gigasize YouSendIt thing sucks!

Why do you come here then? If Ludwig8745 and Urban Steel are so generous to share these rare files, I don't understand how can somebdy get mad that it takes some time to download.

Of course we are!

If you compare speed then torrenting is slower, as you are dependent upon the speed of those seeding and the number of seeds which remain seeding, If you compare a dvd torrent to a dvd download from a premium account with rapidshare.gigasize etc which operate on a server farm basis then you will get it much quicker than a torrent. Also as a lot of people jump off a torrent as soon as they have downloaded it (this is why sites enfore share ratios) your time taken to get the files can take longer.

I know I can get Ludwigs or Urban Steels DVD offerings a helluva quicker 2-4 hrs than spending 48 hrs downloading a dvd torrent if the seed has a reasonable upload speed, my upload speed is rubbish.

There is also an argument about isp's begining to target file sharers (heard of that) torrenting being the most attacked with network management throttling speeds, stopping you connecting etc... I am sure the server farms will be next in their onslaught but my torrenting has fallen off dramatically.

Lastly 'cheaper', this does and gives no credit to the uploaders from whom you get the material. I would hope when torrenting you stay on and give back, if you are a leech then God forgive you, because no one else will.

Those that leech without giving back as best as they can or are able to are in the same league as vine killers in my opinion, that's why I now only trade with people who I know will deliver.

PS I am eternally grateful for those that generously upload and share their collections, giving back by sharing my bandwidth, contributing to an account or sending discs out in a timely manner is my contribution.

For me is torrent not good . I can't download it with my factorycomputer .
At home I have 5KB-Modem .No DSL in Town. Giga is most by 80% break .
Rapidshare is the best . My chef see it not .
