This one. The other aka the complete tape is not bad in itself but it's far more distant and thin than the one posted here by Edmund.

I bought this reel-to-reel tape about 25 years ago and was told that it was a) a copy from the Master and b) the taper didn't have enough space left to tape the whole show - that's why only 14 songs are presented here, most of them truncated. In fact only [You Can't Always Get What You Want] seems to be complete from the 1st to the last second of the song.

Today I compared this recording (again) with the Exile release from Japan and the European edition (Tour of Europe '76) and honestly - I think but I'm not sure that this is an alternate source. The sound here is better and brighter but I can hear the same whistle in You Gotta Move on both recordings. But maybe the tapers were seated in the same section and were near to each other.


lineage: reel-to-reel Master / BASF DP 26 (1st gen. with 19 cm/s) / Terratec Aureon 5.1 USB / Adobe Audition / flac


This was my last transfer as my reel-to-reel tape is worn out by now and I'll never be able to play it again so I did NO DENOISING/REMASTERING of any kind.
