POST: Alive In Seattle

MP3 320
Seattle Center Coliseum, Seattle, Washington, July 18, 1975
Dog n Cat Records (DAC-062)
Quality: Great audience (VG-EX I suppose)

This is the Dogs & Cats release of this Seattle 75 show, and they have reduced the hiss by maybe 70%, you can still hear some of it, but it's not that prominent.
When it comes to the mix soundwise...of course it's basically the same as the master, though the hiss reduction makes this CD a better listening.
The DAC release is also speed corrected, while the former torrent of this show ran too fast.

Found this short review on Ulf's site:-

"On July 18th The Rolling Stones performed at Seattle Coliseum, it is one of the absolute best shows we can find from this tour (maybe one of the best ever). Right from the start the show is a total explosion and almost every song is played with an breathtaking intensity. Just listen to Gimme Shelter, Happy (Ron’s great slide guitar) and the amazing end, beginning with a stunning version of Brown Sugar, a marvellous Midnight Rambler with a guitar interaction that is totally fantastic. And the Rip This Joint, Street Fighting Man, and Jumping Jack Flash medley that ends the show is a killer. This show can be found in the box TOUR OF THE AMERICAS´75, RS 07-08, VG-. The sound is quite good but not perfect. The set list on the cover is incorrect Street Fighting Man is missing."

This review probably relates to the older speeded up recording.
