Actually I am familiar with this process. Sister Morphine gave me silvers for my sources and DAC offered me silvers for my Columbus release (though I never received them).

Yes, I'm sure someone did. That @#$%& is the one I have major issue with, but its not as if DAC is separated from the internet.

They knew about my Columbus recording and had the decency to ask first. The information file is seeded on every torrent, and that Louisville show was pretty heavily anticipated. Was widely circulated all over the net before it ever reached a label.

I put up the torrent after lots of hard work. It was circulated to every fan for free online. Like every other label that grabs torrents of the RO tracker or Dime, there was complete information on the source and contact info. They ignored that information and just put it out.

I have NO problem with them releasing anything I've taped. My problem is that they're making a buck off my work. I could care less about making any money off my efforts. Expanding my collection, on the otherhand, is a great passion of mine.
Anyways, I'd take some silvers in return for PRESSING my recordings. Trading is very different from a wide release on a bootleg label. Labels go into stores and have fans who order exclusively from them. People paying money for what I released freely just pisses me off. Atleast Sister Morphine had the decency of sending me blanks.
