THE COMPLETE SIXTIES COLLECTION - PART 1 (1961-1964)
Posted by: THE BOOTLEGMAN ()
Date: May 14, 2007 17:06

I´m trying to make a big bootleg with all material from the sixties, in order date by date. But surely here are some errors, or there aren´t songs that exist. This is a hard work, but I want to have all this recorded in order. All are studio, radio, tv and live shows (except from 1969; I put only a song, but not repeated, and I put only from Hyde Park and Altamont). Please help me for complete this long list.
Also, at right I put the bootleg where is from; perhaps you know versions with the best sound available.
Ah, I made the list with Excel; then you can copy and paste the list into Excel; here is more difficult to see clear.
Well, if you like this project, I am interested in your help, posting songs or advicing if you detect errors, info or other things. This is a good work for all the comunity, I think (please, if you want to make posts here, better if your files don´t expire)

Thanks for helping, Monkeyman07. I forgot to put the Riot Show, which I´ve got. The 3 songs in Dartford seem to be the same as I noted on 1961. And the Satanic Sessions, I put the 8 cds from Olympic Studios at the list.
There are, for example, some songs from 1964 (tell me and others) from the Red Skelton Hour tv show; I have the dvd, but not the audio. Also I put the Ed Sullivan show 69, but also there are a UK tv show.
I think this is a good idea, to resume all recordings from sixties, recorded in order; it´s a difficult work, and always are things lost.

Thanks, vancouver. Still now, I want to compilate all songs, and I´m going to download It´s all over now; I will compare it with the other versions.
About tv shows, yes, it´s better to separate them for check what songs are not here.
For make the work easier, I will go uploading files; then everybody can compare. And it would be very interesting if anybody find at their bootlegs something that not appears here, trying to upload their files.
It´s a hard work, but I think it´s very interesting for all people to have all sixties compilated.

Wow!...good work!!!...I keep track of the songs by downloading Nicos entire site as a PDF and creating a link to each song...to manage and cull out inferior versions of the same tracks from different bootlegs...amazes me the output of songs the stones have done over the years...

I think Necrophilia got the much better sound for
"Did everybody pay their dues" as the Olympic boot.

OK, I will replace and post the Necrophilia version, I agree with you.

I've had a quick look but I don't see the songs I recorded of the British TV programme 'Ready Steady Go' in 1964-66. These are live, not playback. I posted them here a while back, I've never seen them on boots except for The Last Time, but that is in a very poorer quality.

01 Around & Around
02 If You Need Me
03 What a Shame
04 Time is on my Side
05 Down the Road Apiece
06 Everybody Needs Somebody
07 Everybody/Pain in my Heart
08 I'm Alright
09 The Last Time

You're missing the two alternate takes/versions of Fortune Teller and Poison Ivy (version 1). Both are included on ABKCO's 1987 cd edition of "More Hot Rocks" and that's the only place you can get them.

Hi, vox12string,
Do you remember when you posted the RSG 64-66 post? Are they expired? If not, it would be nice to post them here. I looked my studio bootlegs but I don´t find those recordings.

Vancouver: I have "Mr.Spector and Mr.Pitney came too", I think it´s the same, listed as:
1964 02 04 AND MR SPECTOR AND MR PITNEY CAME TOO REGENT STUDIOS, LONDON. THE BLACK BOX. Is this the version you mentioned?
And about your "it´s all over now" post, I think it´s from Chess studios 10-11/06/64; I´ve listed 2 versions, one from "it´s frozen" boot and other from "early sessions" boot. I will compare with my versions, for see if it´s the same or different.

55 Rusty:
Thanks for your contribution. One question: Will expire your files at sendspace? if don´t expire, I can copy-past your upload; if not, I can download your file and upload it again with gigasize (I´ve premium account). I´ll post "Still a Fool". "As times go by" is on date 1964 03 11 De Lane Lea Studios. Unsurpassed masters vol.1 and I uploaded it
[www.gigasize.com]
I heard your version but I think the quality is the same, Isn´t it?
And "I don´t know the reason why" I listed it on Oct 69, and I say you the same: let me know if your file will expire, for put your link or download it and upload it again.

Vancouver: Is it possible to separate the songs from the file? It´s better to put song by song, I think. Please, Can you do this?
About Goin home fake, I agree; I´m going to delete the listed file. And of course, thanks for your contribution. If you can upload files here, all will be easier.

55 Rusty:
