Thanks, Andithurts! There is something very haunting about the 1973 tour. Great guitar sounds, great vocals and a feel unlike any other tour.

Does anyone else have pops during Midnight Rambler?

cover says berlin but vgp-140 is bern 25-09-1973.

berlin 19-10-1973 do not circulate.

Here is the entry in Basement News No. 20 by Dieter Hoffmann, Jan. 1998: "Tour over europe VGP 140 released 1997. Entire show from Berlin, Oct. 19, 1973. Recorded in good-very good audience, much better than all circulated tapes. The recording date of this nice CD is not 100% confirmed but for sure it's NOT Bern but it could be Innsbruck ?!"

my opinion is

swiss made vgp 116 is made of Bern 26-09-1973 1st show (cd2) and 2nd show (cd1).
tour over europe vgp 140 is made of bern 25-09-1973.

berlin is also a "dancing with m d" show, so it's not easy.

anyway it was 34 years ago, and maybe only the tapers could tell us the truth.

in the early 80's, this show was circulating as bern 25-09 AND berlin 19-10.

So , who knows , is it berlin or bern?

My copy of Berlin sounds like an answering machine, it's so awful. Antwerp is worse! The shows are incredible!
