Just in case you missed it in the Postage Stamp thread we just had, here's the stamp that came out last year as part of an Oz Rock Posters series. I didn't know that it was an Aussie, Ian McCausland, who designed the poster.

is this a soundboard recording? I had a copy of this same show (don't know if it was the same title) and my copy was a good audience recording.

uh yeah I saw that and I was just wondrin if you'd made a mistake....I never knew there was a soundboard recording from this show......

several sources claim this is an audience recording......it sounds really good regardless.....

Yes. I agree- this is a GREAT recording, but it is audience. Unfortunately it's only the VGP title 'Melbourne All You Can Eat' that plays at the correct speed. All other versions (including this one) run too fast.
Of course, that's not a criticism of the person who was kind enough to most this for others to enjoy!

YEP - all melbourne shows are very good audience recordings.

Advantage Melbourne is BETTER than disc 2 on the VGP title "Melbourne All You Can Eat", from a different source and better...

Hi. You've confused me now! - don't worry- it's easily done!LOL. Disc 1 of the VGP release is this show though (ie: 17th). The second disc is from the 18th.

It actually sounds really good (especially the first couple of songs) and could be mistaken for a soundboard......."Brown Sugar" sounds great. I did a speed correction on this and found that certain tracks already ran at the correct speed. I think "Brown Sugar", "Bitch", "All Down The Line" and maybe "Bye Bye Johnny" were at the correct speed. The rest of the songs were all a semi tone too high with the exception of "Gimme Shelter", which was a whole tone too high. It sounds like there are speed fluctuations also, which I don't know how to fix. I already had a version of this show that I downloaded here in mp3 format and was thrilled to get this one in a lossless format.

OK, Melbourne All You Can Eat consists of:
Disc #1: February 17, 1973 1st Show
Disc #2: February 18, 1973

Advantage Melbourne by OBR (I think) is slightly better quality than disc #2 of the Melbourne All You Can Eat.

I have the evening show in F quality w/partial songs. Took years to get hold of it. Esky has it, but he's been banned from IORR.
