No this is Leon Russel

- Wild Horses IV (MJ/KR) -Sneaky Pete Kleinow on pedal steel, Leon Russell on
organ; recorded on version I

we can hear pedal steel here.

According to Felix Aeppli's "The Ultimate Guide", Billy Preston was playing organ.

700100B early 1970: Los Angeles, unidentified studio. Overdubs, supervised by Denny
Cordell, on a tape sent to L.A. by the Stones via London:
- Wild Horses IV (MJ/KR) -Sneaky Pete Kleinow on pedal steel, Leon Russell on
organ; recorded on version I

Info is from a Gram Parsons interview.

I do not think this Preston-organ track circulates. Here are the different tracks that do (that I know about): (i just posted this on another post)

1) BASIC MIX: acoustic and 12-string acoustic guitars, drums start 2:12
IE: Time Trip Vol. 1 #13; Itchy Fingers #11; Tricky Fingers #5; Alternate Sticky Fingers #3

2) TACK PIANO MIX: to basic mix, add tack piano, drums start 1:18
IE: Time Trip Vol. 2 #3; Tricky Fingers #6; Hot Rocks (Shelley) which some call a different mix

3) TACK PIANO MIX EDIT: edit of tack piano mix (first 30 secs spliced with the last 2:10)
IE: Gimme Shelter (film); Nasty Habits (VGP-057) #16

4) PEDAL STEEL MIX: to tack piano mix, add pedal steel by Sneaky Pete Kleinow and organ by Leon Russell
IE: Nasty Habits (VGP-057) #10; Itchy Fingers #12; Alternate Sticky Fingers #16

5) OFFICIAL VERSION: to tack piano mix, add electric slide guitar, background vocals
IE: Sticky Fingers (official); edits were also released on 7" promo singles in mono and stereo

6) Martin Elliot also talks about a Billy Preston organ version, but I'm not sure if I've heard that one before. Does anyone have any info on this one?

If anyone has more info on this version, I would like to hear about it as well, thanks.
