Bill wyman remembering this gig : "We performed this show for 17670 fans, with our usual repertoire. i think it was the worst gig of the whole tour. Mick Taylor was special guest and he took part in this concert playing guitars. I couldn't hear anything than guitars. I got big problems with my equipement that i couldn't hear at all. But the audience was pretty good"

I was at this show. 17th row center.
Mick was impressive, moving up and down the ramps, side to side and playing up to the audience.
Great to see MT in action.
I had a hopeful feeling MT could possibly be there as he was on tour and played earlier in the week nearby.
Loud! Sound was not really that good. My ears rang for 3 days afterwards.

Um, ok...is it me or what, but I don't hear Taylor at all! If I didn't know what show this was, I would never know he was playing.

He sounds completly buried in the mix if there at all. I've heard all about how he played way too loud....from who's perspective?

Hi, i don't heard the entire concert, but i read in some web (about this concert) than Mick Taylor doesn't listened, so i'm afraid Mick was not recorded... check the "NOTES" post upside:

Comment: With all the rumours about the high volume of the stage mix at this show, there is still very little of Taylor to be heard despite the signifcant quality inprovement over the many releases of audience versions of this show over the years. Word is that he was not plugged into the mixing board and was only playing through a stage amp. Maybe if Mick had made the Stones UK rehearsals we could have really heard what current Taylor sounds like with current Stones...

I think you can actually hear Mick T. at times....I had this already so I didn't download the same version you all did and in my version I think he's audible sometimes. The thing is, the mix is awful. You can't really tell one guitar from another. At times I thought I could hear two guitars soloing at the same time, say on YCAGWYW. I'm pretty sure an audience recording of this gig exists. That would be a good way to tell if Mick T. was recorded or not. I have one track "Time is on my Side" from the audience recording (it's on a compilation called Live Rarities). I'll post it and you all can compare the audience recording to the soundboard recording.
