I downloaded everything RPM not too long ago.

I compared every track to the same song I had on my HDD. The RPM tracks were sometimes better than the boot material I had, maybe 8% was better than what I had. So, there were some improvements. I download everything!

I don't think there's anything special about the mixes. It's just somebody putting together a nice Stones collection in the best quality they could.

Quique-Stone did a lot of research and thanks to him, we were able to locate and get copies of all 54 RMP releases.

A nice version of 'Dancing With Mr D' on disc 33 - Alternate Takes And Demos. It's the best copy of this mix I've heard. Usually there's a drop off in sound quality around 02:40 and it's a little longer. The RPM mix you can just here a slight change at 02:33 and subsequently an earlier finish - speed corrected perhaps? it's closer to the time of the official track.

Impressive!! But hardly to do for this simple fan. So the tip by rumple21 was most wlecome.
Are there any other albums/tracks of SPECIAL interest? Are there new or much better tracks?

Managed to find a source to download all.
Ditto with exilestones - Some of the boot material is an improvement on what I have. The 60s discs are nicely laid out with appropriate bonus tracks. Stereo versions if available and sometimes their mono equivalent. It's Lovely artwork throughout the 54 disc set. The compiler has largely stayed away from the official live stuff settling for the 'no-studio-recording-but-performed-live' selection on discs 52 and 53. A good idea and a nice couple of discs.

Also he's not gone down the road of posting the many different mixes that are available from the late 70s onwards - how many mixes are there of 'Love Is Strong? He sticks with the main catalogue, outtakes and studio B-sides.

Can anyone tell me, or direct me to any info about which versions of the songs (eg London CDs, ABKCO remasters, etc) were used on the RMP mixes of the official albums?
Who actually is this RMP fellow anyway? A member of this forum?

I bought all the ABKCO remasters in 2002 and thought they sounded generally excellent, but my CDs are now in storage across the country. I found the RMP stuff online and liked the way the CDs were arranged with singles as bonus tracks, etc, plus lots of outtakes available, but after reading on various web forums about the differences between different CD issues, I am really wondering which were used for the RMP stuff. Thanks!
