CD-R collection
Posted by: Mazza ()
Date: October 11, 2013 23:34

Hi

I've got 127 Rolling Stones titles (197 discs in all) that are looking for a new home. They are all CD-Rs and all come in jewel cases, the vast majority have artwork with them that I have printed off myself.

Send me an email if interested for more details. I can send a list of them.

Thanks.

You want to sell them?

Nobody here is going to buy cd-r's. We all can make them ourselves for free.

True but I imagine some people don't have the time or motivation to put a collection together. Not asking much for them and all come with jewel cases and artwork.

well just a realistic comment:
when u ship abroad, these jewel cases can raise a lot the shipping cost
(ok but i understand they are well protected there in their jewel cases)

I am still a youngster of 63 years of age and was asking myself the same question. What to do with it.
I have found a decent place for my collection by uploading to stonesvault.
When you have something that isn't uploaded to stonesvault.... feel free to use the guestlink.
You (or anybody) can send me your list, and I will check what still is missing.

OK, still looking to get rid of these - not looking for any money for them, just want to get rid. So, please let me know if you're interested. Of course, you will need to arrange to collect them or arrange for a courier/postage. I am in the UK, HP9. Thanks.

I know it would be a chore but it might help your cause if you posted a list of what you've got...............

I just don't burn them anymore (the ones I've downloaded); just store them on a couple of external HDs. And if I want to listen (or look at) one; I use a CD/DVD-RW.

The person who posted the original thread sent me a box of these CDs. I only paid postage. It is a beautiful set and I expect to get hundreds of hours listening to them all.

I wanted to post something to acknowledge such a generous gift. And it was a gift, considering how many CDs I got versus the amount I paid for postage. I think it works out to about US thirty cents per CD-R.

Thank you kindly, Mr. Mazza, for the beautiful box of CD-Rs.

I ripped all of my CDRs on to a Hard Drive and then uploaded anything I didn't see in the Stones Vault. Same thing with my DVD-Rs. Then I through them in the trash reducing clutter.

I kept a some factory pressed CDs as collector's items.

Selling CDRs here is probably the worst place. Try ebay. There maybe some fans there that would love to get all of your titles for a low proce whatever that may be.

Thank you Milky Way for your kind comments. I'm glad they have gone to a good home and hope you have many hours of listening pleasure.

All the best
