Here is my 25 minute 3D compilation video of the Stones at Hyde Park on the 6th. AFAIK it's the first time a 3D video of the Stones is made available ;-) And on my 47" 3D LG TV I'm really back at HP, priceless!

If you have a 3D setup (computer connected to 3D TV or "intelligent" TV) you'll see this in full 3D. If you don't you can still use red/blue glasses to get some depth but the color is going to be lost for the most part.

Unfortunately it was rather loud in the front and the sound is clipped in the recording. I tried to synch it to the audio recordings on Dime using Sony Vegas but it's proving to be too big of a challenge, so hopefully someone with the know how and tools can do it.





To toggle 2D/3D and choose the 3D options you'll need to view the video on YouTube where you'll see a 3D button bottom right.

What Sony is it? AFAIK other than the Sony 3D video cameras, the Sony Digicams use a trick to recreate 3D with their single lens (a subtle "delay" in panorama sweep mode"

The Panasonic 3D1 has two lenses so it's real 3D ;-)

@toomuchforme - nope had missed it, thanks for reposting. I think I'll upgrade my HX5v to your HX20, the price is good now and there is some dust in the lens of my HX5v :-( But yes, not real 3D like you can get with the 3D1 or the Fujitsu W3 (3D screen but wide angle setting not small enough). It's a shame 3D has been pretty abandoned, when I watch that video on my 47" 3D LG TV I'm pretty much back at Hyde Park!

Thanks for this great upload. Do you maybe have more footage of this awesome 3D shot? It feels like being there again. Never thought that these small 3D cams would be that great.

Nope that's it unfortunately...at times I was thinking I was filming too much vs just watching the show but now I'm glad I have these 25 minutes!

Real 3D is a blast, it's a shame they didn't figure out how to sell it, I guess everyone (like me before I got my LG 3D and looked into camera options) thinks it's just a useless red/blue glasses gadget. The fact that companies like Sony sell "fake 3D" (like the HX20 mentioned above, BTW I just ordered one to replace my HX5) cameras obviously doesn't help either.

@Neighbours - LG TV here too. Let me know if you need help watching the 3D clip. I'd recommend downloading the 720p file and then putting it on a USB key and plugging it straight into your TV. My media center is connected via HDMI but I just can't get the same picture quality as a straight read from a USB key, for 3D or other video files.

I download always video youtube in best quality so I grabed 720p. No need USB key. TV is connected on my home-network. I read directly computers and HD on my TV. The only thing not connected is my projector (not 3D), no network connection on.

Great, it looks like you're all set then. The 1080p version is 3+GB a bit much for my 640kbps upload and the 720p version looks pretty good I think.

720p is perfect. I m very glad to see a 3d rolling Stones video

Cool, I'll try to work on a slideshow of my 3D pics.

I wish there were some "3D Glasses" for a full "immersion"...well there are the Sony DEV-50 but rather expensive...and no 3D still incredibly!

I'looking for making 3D with photoshop with layers cyan and magenta. It' "fake" 3d but the result can be spectacular.

Ah that's too bad, you can still view it in 2D though.

I think my 3D footage from last night should be pretty decent too ;-)

an official Bluray 3D might be expected from Hyde Park 2 as there were a lot of professional 3D cameras filming the show... Looking forward for that one (-;

That would be great, it's a shame 3D's gone the way of the dogs for the most part due to terrible marketing (everyone thinks it's a joke when you can create wonderful 3D content of your own with a W3 or 3D1), leave it to the Stones to kick start it again!

BTW I have have at least as much 3D footage from HPII (including a complete ER and Ruby Tuesday) so will compile it and post it later ;-)
