Thanks for your words, Kike! But this is for EVERYBODY - also people who do not have a Blu-Ray player or burner. A "mkv"-file is similar to "avi" but supporting higher resolutions as 1080p and you can watch it on every computer with the player I recommended above. For burning it onto a Blu-Ray one has to "imux" and "mux" it again (do not ask me how to do it exactly)

Oh how I wish to have such a fast upload connection as you do... But I won't give up that easily and maybe the speed increases in Constance next week - download speed there is 10x faster than at home.

Some tools are mentioned here [forums.afterdawn.com] - don't have a BD burner so won't be able to try myself.

My Blu-ray player will play MKV files. I just burn them to a DVD or Blu-ray disc (depending on size) as a data file. I guess it depends on the player.
Otherwise I have used Nero Video to add chapters/menus and output as a Blu-ray.

Got it at last, darn sluggish DSL connection!

It looks very good, sound is excellent too although it's in AC3 2 channel, not sure where the 5.1 from the SDH version came from, maybe it was "doctored"? Anyway the stereo is great here and you can hear Ronnie's and Keith's guitars perfectly in each speaker, it's not that frequent.

Maybe it's my setup (Quadcore 2.33Mhz at about 30% CPU during playback so no bottleneck) but I'm seeing a very slight video/audio delay that I fixed in VLC by adding 0.15s. I was thinking of getting a BD burner but since my PS3 can't play mkv's apparently I don't think I'll go through the hassle of reauthoring.

I might try reencoding in 720p (not sure what the best app is to do that these days) as there's no reason the SDH or Yahoo stream rip should be as blocky as they are.

Unfortunately my Spanish may be even worse than your English... But at least I understood what you would like to know.

I don't know if this is the same as the 44.6 GB version. Length and video / audio traits indicate that this could be the case, but I'm not sure because I don't know the 44.6 GB file.

Anyway, this version here has got the advantage that it is much smaller

Did a 30 second 720p preview with Handbrake (Apple TV 2 profile - audio pass thru) and it's looking really good, a lot better than the SDH version for sure, with a prjected file size of 6.6Gb. It's going to be a monster to transcode though at 7+ hours on my 2.33Mhz quadcore.

I'm not getting it right now. Thank Maradona we finally have a super full HD version and folks immediately start shrinking it down and worse to 720p. Why?
