This was the only club show that disappointed me. Not talking about the quality of the songs, but it look as if Mick Jagger was more interested in the VIPs sitting on the balcony. The rumors that MT (or was it BW) would join the band also raised our expectations. (it seems that the ex-Stone that was rumored to join the band on stage, was to late for either the rehearsals or the show itself).
I also think that this was one of the shortest club shows of that tour. Nevertheless, I had a great time especially while the guys from Shidoobee had organized the queue in a great way (with numbers on our arm, keeping someones place in the line when you had to go take a leak, and so on). Also the boat cruise on the Thames (during the infamous London black-out) with Stones music and Stones fans only, was great.

But the CC release is one of the best, so if you don't have this show, grab it!

Aah...raised expectations...always dangerous...
I am very jealous (in a nice way of course) that you were at this show cool smiley

Yep, not up there with, say, Cirkus Stockholm (but then not much is) but still a really good show...
...band sounds good and Start Me Up has rarely been played with such energy and passion, killer version...
...best, for me anyway, since being drilled into the ground by the riff at Roundhay Park in 1982...
...I couldn't believe my ears and played it again straightaway to make sure I was listening properly!!

This has been posted before but the link has expired - worth picking up (if not already in collection) - and people are... winking smiley

Cheers

Out of 6 club shows I attended, my favorite was the Vredenburg (Utrecht) show.

Interesting - I have a silver of this show but the instruments (particularly the guitars) sound quite distant on the recording so hard to judge...
...the artwork says excellent, I would say G-VG in places

Cheers

The Bootleg on the left is the "Lady Bird Records" "Zürich: Last Licks".
My Vredenburg is the "Rattle Snake" RS147/48 version:
