Is this a IMP release ?
The small New Orleans screens look interesting, but too small to really
judge the quality, but maybe an upgrade.

"Amazing sound" is something they write on all releases of their. You can almost say that the "label name" for this "no label label" is "amazing sound"

99% sure that there's nothing new here.

But the screens look nice, I agree - but those might be photoshopped.

"Truly Amazing Sound" seems defensive.

It's a copy of the vinyl, but with Happy and Shattered inserted from the audience tape, in lesser quality than the rest of the show. Hardly any EQing done, there's even crackles here and there from the LP (from what I've been told)

So I would guess this is a copy of midnrambler's torrent on DIME from about 5 years ago. And if not a direct copy - then at least the same stuff in the same quality - as that torrent

Could somebody reseed Midnrambler's Hampton 1978 torrent on DIME or Hungercity? I have it stored on a computer locked up someplace else, which I won't be visiting in months

As Erik mentioned, the screen shots for the DVD do look much better than the awful quality my copy of this show is in

If it were an upgrade and very watchable, it'd be a great addition to the DVD collection. I've always wanted a copy of this DVD is good quality

But....if some Japanese bootleger HAD a nice upgrade of the New Orleans 1978 video, they wouldn't had included it as "bonus DVDR for the first 100 copies", but released it as pressed DVD, as it was bound to be a hit. So I really have no expectations on this

Also - ever since the 80s, all the (known) copies of that video looked like it came from a 10th generation copy, so it's likely that the person with the master tape degraded it himself, before circulating it.

That'd be a shame, as the screen shots do look a good sight better than the version I have.

I guess we all have to wait until someone see's this release

my buddies already ordered a copy yesterday !

Hopefully he has a good report on that New Orleans DVD!

I doubt it, dont expect any upgrades but you never know.
