With reference to Britney's post over here:

I'd like to post Memo From Turner from the "Lord Have Mercy" vinyl bootleg:
because it sounds different!
Lineage:
Vinyl boot>RegaP3 with Ortofon "Tango" moving coil system>Tascam CD RW-402 Recorder cd-r>Wav file with NERO7

Sometime ago I made a note, that this is MFT version 3, recorded June 68??

Thanks for the "Lord Have Mercy" version of MFT. However, I think it is nothing unique, it's the slow version that has cropped up in MUCH better soundquality in recent years (or better recent decades). It's really difficult to judge if there are differences because the sound quality of this CBM boot is absolutely, ahem, weak, there are distortions all over the place. I would be surprised if CBM really offered something unique because it was of copycat label of the worst kind.

After a first listen/comparison I'd say the Lord Have Mercy version is the same take a found on the Black Box, which is an early take of the Mick Jagger solo version for the Performance soundtrack. Very different from the Rolling Stones version.

Well, one thing's for certain, they sure used cheap vinyl!!
I don't have this on a cd/cd-r, so I couldn't compare.
