POST: Pot Boiler 1969
Posted by: Rank Stranger ()
Date: November 7, 2010 12:29

As requested some time ago, here it is:

Pot Boiler was first issued in 2001, then reissued in 2004; some say the later version is remastered.
I don't hear a difference between the two versions. Anyway I upped this from a cd-r I received from MrsHop - thank you very much again! - and this is the 2004 version.
Lineage: Wave files created with Nero7>Flac liles with FlacFrontend level 7
Sorry, no artwork; maybe you can find it here:

The back artwork of the 1st and 2nd VGP edition is different. You can find them both in my VGP artwork collection that is somewhere in this forum for download (but I don't know where...). I don't know if the discs are different but I doubt it. I only have the 2nd edition.

Many thanks for that, the sound is good for this 1969 tour,
for me the best tour .

The Mick Taylor solo on "I'm Free" man, it's a must...
Great day man

I don't hear a difference between the two versions.

The first issue had some clicks (for example 1.55 into Midnight Rambler). Apart from removing these clicks there is no significant alteration in dynamics and EQ on the reissue.
