Smelt & Sprat (Baby Won't You Fish With Me)
I served some bream last night
That needed filleting again
luckily my guests were drunk and insane
I under-cooked their Louisiana cray
Which could've been real bad
But it came out okay
What's it all about?
Does this fairly reflect my fooood
I heard my shrimp taste like dirt
And yeah, I'm feeling kind of hurt
So now allll I cook is smelt and sprat
And allll is tartar sauce where I'm at
Through a batter some hope I see
So maybe take a chance?
Baby won't you fish with me?
I bought a million dollar hake from an underseas store
It just goes to show you don't get what you paid for
Let's batter up some perch, don't worry bout how I feel
Put some lemon on the trout
And smoke up those eel
Before we smell a funky smell
That ain't something we would chooooose
I'm feeling kind of hurt
Heard my clambake tastes like dirt
Now all I cook is sprat and smelt
So it don't matter how I felt
Though my batter is lemon-y
You could maybe take a chance?
