I have to say that they play it better and with more passion than the Stones. I should know coz I saw the Stones paly it on the Licks tour.

Well to be honest I tried listening to the Satanic Sessions set I downloaded a few days ago but it just about put me to sleep. It's just not the same anymore without the help of the old Lysergic acid diethylamide.

Even undersigned would fall asleep by Satanic Sessions. And so did Bill.

These last two weeks I have been listening to Dirt Farmer by Levon Helm. It's really quite good and worth buying.

More on Howlin':
"He played with Robert Johnson and Willie Brown in his youth. At 6 foot, 6 inches (198cm) and close to 300 pounds (136 kg), he was an imposing presence with one of the loudest and most memorable voices of all the "classic" 1950's Chicago blues singers. Howlin' Wolf's voice has been compared to "the sound of heavy machinery operating on a gravel road". "

Howlin' Wolf, what a voice. Remember 'Evil' from Jagger's sessions with the Red Devils? Always liked that song, here's Howlin' Wolf performing it.

It would be great if footage from his work with Clapton, Watts and Wyman surfaced. Love that album.
