Ok guys great news I now have a double cdr - pretty good quality of the entire gig from the aberdeen capitol. There's no doubt of where it's from as Mick mentions Aberdeen football club etc during the gig. grinning smiley

Oh my, one of the Holy Grails has been found. So how is it possible to get this wee beastie. Is it going to be posted, torrented, snail mailed? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Fantastic, His Majesty! Could the recording be transferred and torrented perhaps, please..?! WIthin one year; uncirculated tapes from Glasgow and Aberdeen 1982 has seen the light of day - who could have guessed...?

Hi mate, I'll send you a copy of Aberdeen once it find it's way on a torrent tracker, if His Majesty decides to do so. But....it takes time to transfer and such, and many people, me included, don't have the equipment to do so.

His Majesty,
Fit like, min?
YOU ARE A GENIUS AND DESERVE A MEDAL!

I'm an Aberdonian too, and remember that time very well. I was only 11 at the time, didn't know a single Stones song, but SO wanted to go to that gig that I said to myself I would pay as much as £50 of my hard-earned pocket money to see that gig. It never happened for me, but I have been very fortunate to go on and see them 46 times since. Neevr in Aberdeen, but I live in hope.

Anyway, next time I'm up I want to meet you and shake your hand for finding this gem.

I have no clue about torrenting, but for sure I am happy to upload it somewhere.

The set list is different to what is posted in the link Gazza put up. The Aberdeen set list matches the Rotterdam set list from 2nd June.

My discs are definitely from Aberdeen though as Mick mentions Aberdeen throughout the gig.

Please upload it as FLAC files, His Majesty - instead of MP3. One of the downloaders could make a torrent out of it - if there's any need for that. Have you got the recording on CDRs or as tapes? Would love to hear this....first concert of 1982, it's very interesting

So you're saying the setlist is :
Under My Thumb/When The Whip Comes Down/Let’s Spend The Night
Together/Shattered/Neighbours/Black Limousine/Just My Imagination/
Twenty Flight Rock/Going To A Go Go/Chantilly Lace/Let Me Go/Time
Is On My Side/Beast Of Burden/Let It Bleed/You Can’t Always Get
What You Want/Band introduction/Happy Birthday Charlie/Little T &
A/Tumbling Dice/She’s So Cold/Hang Fire/Miss You/Honky Tonk
Women/Brown Sugar/Start Me Up/Jumping Jack Flash/Satisfaction)

??

They played 'Chantilly Lace' ?

..and please make it available as a lossless file first before anyone makes it an mp3. Thanks.

If you dont know how to torrent, you can send a copy to myself, Erik or someone who'll gladly do it for you.

Black Limousine
Just My Imagination
Twenty Flight Rock
Going To A Go Go
Chantilly Lace
Let Me Go

Mick welcomes Aberdeen FC - Band introduction

Yes, there's no cuts or anything in the recording between the intro's and tumbling Dice. Mick introduces Bill last and then Keith starts up Tumbling Dice whilst the audience is still cheering for Bill.

You can hear that part(for a short time) here: deleted link

wow, this sounds like a great quality recording! A real nice room sound, you can really hear it's a club and feel the ambience. Can't wait to hear the rest!

mick's voice sounds so deep... is that typical of '82 gigs? I only have a couple from this tour, in thin soundboard form.

Sounds great Majesty, check your email. Btw, it sounds like the tape is running a bit slow, we might have to correct that.

The Capitol wasn't a club, but a cinema/theatre type venue. It's been turned in to a nightclub and restaraunt now though.

hm, all right. There's a nice room reverb anyhow, and there's a nice balance between crowd and stage volumes (at least while mick is just talking!).
