Thanks for posting. saw that this morning but had to leave for work.

Matt lauer always gets great interviews with the Stones. Looks like Mick was real comfortable in this one.

Imo, a fluffy interview, no hard questions,no stones questions, and by the way when discussing 1973 recording with Lennon in the background they 1969 shots.
Mick looked good.

"No dope smoking no beer sold after 12 o'clock"

Yeah...Mick seems real happy lately and pretty positive on the Stones...good stuff...great interview.

Thanks you so much, I had no idea Mick was on the Today Show! I was HOME and missed it! Matt is a great interviewer, Mick seems to like him. It was good of Matt to mention the passing of Joe Jagger. Great little interview!

Cute little interview. My one little complaint is how Matt keeps referring to "The Stones". I pretty much never use that term, it's always "The Rolling Stones". Perhaps it's just my way of paying respect, I dunno.

can there be any doubt of Mick's attention to return to the stage? And with the Stones I'm sure...yeah baby!

I wonder if Mick is so comfortable with Matt because he has talked to him a lot over the years, the last time in Hartford, Connecticut, apparently, on the tour.

....watching it on TV this morning I was surprised by a couple of things. One, Mick was awful chipper and comfy with Lauer and two, by Mick's sincerity regarding his father. I don't think I've seen such a genuine and sensitive side to Mick during an interview before.

.......also I think this interview gets as close to any in getting Jagger to admit that he writes great country tunes. He knows it, we know it, he should do more.

For quite some time in the previous century members of the band always referred to it as The Rolling Stones. Mick particularly.

Out of respect...I call him Michael Jagger.

95% of the people I know, call them The Stones...same with The Dead.

were the stones "at their apex" in '73? needs to be a better explanation of what mick was doing hanging around by himself in LA at that time. was it before the Winter Tour?

La was a R&R paradise....

Yes...paradise. Mick and many other of his peers visited LA for business and pleasure in the earlyand mid-seventies. He really wasn't "alone." And John Lennon , n his "what's it all about Alfie?" introspection of that time was happy to meet up with real friends from the Swinging London days.
