Latest release from Gov't Mule is a heavy dubbed-out affair in a Little Axe...Spearhead groove style....
Carries worked over versions of Al Greens I'm A Ram... The Band's Shape I'm In ...Otis Redding's Hard To Handle with Toots on vocals and a lengthy, spaced-out cover of The Stones ... Play With Fire
Cool to read that one about the stones and the who playing together for the first time in Putney, London, which is where I live! I don't think the place exists anymore, am trying to find out about it but can't find anything so far...
What's your favourite flavour?...........Cherry Red!!
My kinda Stones connection... The drummer in my blues band was a fashion model working in Paris in the 70's and 80's. She worked with Jerry Hall and became friends with Mick. She had backstage passes to any show she wanted until the 40 licks tour, which was about the time I met her. Prior to that she kept in touch with him via e-mail, but when she got involved with a personal dispute between Jerry and Mick, taking Jerry's side, that was the last contact she had with Mick. Oh well.
