It's about the ugliest Tele I've ever seen, why even bother discussing it?

I for one, am more interested in Pierre's abillity to get the piece of photoshoped wood working as a stage-guitar in a real short time.

as I said - I doubt it, we'll see that guitar on stage again - but the story behind it is cool.

Guitar is not ugly at all. Match Keef's ring.

I have some experience with setting up guitars (never took off the nech though) but I assume a pro tecnician should put everything in place within couple of hours. It's 10-15 minutes for each part: each pup, bridge, pots and switch, tuners... setting up action and intonation. I just can't guess how long it takes to put a neck properly. The storyteller didn't mention the time when the gift was delivered but 3 hours or more before the show was quite enough.

Keep in mind that the man has experience, and all the tools and parts at hand.

So the skull guitar was back on stage in London II - how about the other 2 gigs?

The guitar body was a gift from Paul Karslake, Jo Wood's brother. The back is here:

As was the CSI guitar :

This one seems to backup claims by Paul and his sister that Paul was involved in Ronnie's painting business:

"Fine Art" that a bold statement imo.

How about "airbrush... Liberace-style"? grinning smiley
(the CSI is truly ugly).

They are playing guitars in this photo? Oh! HUh, I finally got my eyes off of Lisa's legs. Yeah, ok. Horrible looking guitar on Keith.

Maybe there should be a photo thread of Lisa and her legs?

You can have its twin for a mere £20,000.

Whatever happened to the custom-made black Zematis (sp?) Keith used a lot during the '75 tour? That was a cool looking guitar.

you can read all about it in this thread here: [www.iorr.org]
the replica he used on the Bigger Bang tour is in there as well

(and while i'm at it, you might find the Ratbag Boogie index useful: [www.iorr.org] )
