Stones dedicated-shop in NYC ?

Hi,

I'm going to NYC the 2nd week of August.

Can any New-yorker or Stones-fan tell me if there is a Stones-dedicated shop in the Big Apple ? A shop where I could buy may be tee-shirts or old tour posters ?

Is there as well any bar, any cafe, dedicated to the Stones ? There is one in Paris, I guess there should be one in NYC...

Thanx for the clues

On Broadway there is (or was) a shop with lots of stones stuff. Very expensive though and not only Rolling Stones of course.

Yeah - plenty of places to buy boots but they'll run you at least $25-30 per disc (audio or DVD) and they're pretty much all CD-Rs nowadays. You're better off downloading them yourself.

St. Marks Place (East 8th St.) between 2nd & 3rd Avenues has a bunch of places that sell rock n' roll T's, but they're mostly knock-offs - i.e. not officially sanctioned by the Stones. However, if you want a shirt with Bowie's picture and the caption "I slept with Mick Jagger", you'll be in luck.

For books, check out The Strand Bookstore (largest in the world) on B-way & 12th St. - you might be able to find something long out of print, and generally at good prices. However, I usually find better prices for the out of print/hard to find stuff on Amazon marketplace.

You might want to check out the art/photo galleries in Soho - there always seems to be a Jim Marshall or Henry Diltz exhibition going on somewhere, and since New Yorkers love their Keith, the Stones are usually highlighted.

And yeah - there SHOULD be a dedicated Stones bar here. There is a bakery called Sticky Fingers, though.
