I'd doubt it because of what Chuck wrote in his blog - he is finalizing plans for his solo tour in Germany/Austria and I don't think he would do that now if the tour is not to end in autumn.
I hope they will be back for something like a 20 show run at the O2 once, like Prince does it smiling smiley

Last Summer in London there was a Stones.com fair/event at a hotel in Holborn.

I met one seller there who knew Ronnie and had been at his house the previous night for the Stones Twickenham after show party.

Ronnie had apparantly said they were gonna come back to Europe in summer 2007 and then finally finish in London. Period.

This could well be the last time to see the Stones live.

Didn't KEEF say something like"Were gonna go on forever" or something? Or maybe he was talking about just him?

I heard that mentioned last summer as well (ie, the band wanting to finish touring in London in summer 2007), although Ronnie actually being the source of the quote is a new one on me.

not even Keith ever said "we're going to tour ceaselessly"

OK, so I let my "legacy" membership renew last month. Does that mean I get my $100 back if the Stones do not sell tickets for more shows before next May?

Well my uncles brothers little sister one time drove with a driver who's best friend was a personal shopper for Ronnie Wood (alchohol) and because he was fired, he revealed that they will do another tour, maybe shorter than usual, before finally celebrating their 50th aniversary, after that they have no idea...

In theory. Yes. Personally, I cant see the logic in paying for a membership at the minute. It would be extremely optimistic to expect the Stones to be on the road again within a year.

Dodger Stadium Nov. 2006 will go down as their last American show. That's been my bet for quite some time. The "events" in Europe only serve to confirm that.

Yeah, BV mentioned a couple of months back that they would tour the U.S. again but I don't recall hearing how or when. Now he's saying it's "the final touch." I'm getting scared now!

I agree with most of the people on here. I think this is the swan song. And probably should be. Poor sales. People pissing and moaning about prices.
They should do London and bow out. It has been a great run but it really is time to end it.

Perhaps it's also the best decision to make this the last big tour.
I could picture them well playing arenas or clubs with mainly blues songs an acoustic stuff, that would be cool.

if they do london and quit, then i get to see the final show.

i would have loved the stones to make it to thier 50th anniverary, but only if they could still be the band they once were.

judging by many comments on this site, it dosent sound as if they are.

i wouldnt want them continuing as some sort of gimmick where the back up musicians are carrying the rest of the band.

this would destroy the stones credibility and image.

so it would be better for all no matter how sad, to quit after london.

The guy I spoke to in the Bonnington Hotel last summer was Chris Eurbourne who I think would be a credible source. He seemed convinced about it.

I like Pedro's idea better!!!
I hope the Stones keep doing shows in "some" way. Giants every year or 20 show "Mini-tours"
La/SF
Chicago
NY/NJ
Philly etc.....
Not TOO HARD to imagine.......

As they told to the newspapers , they told they are better than ever they could and theyre planning to go on tour soon.
i think a north america / south america tour in fall/winter 2008 playing in arenas like this:

MSG
Fleet Center
United Center
MCI Center
Omni Coliseum
Compaq Center "The Summit"
Key Arena
MGM Grand Garden Arena
Staples Center
Palacio de los Deportes - many dates for mexican people (we love them!!! we want them here!!)
and maybe some stadium shows.
><<<<<
Soldier Field
Tampa Stadium
Dodger Stadium
Estadio Maracana
Estadio Centenario
Estadio River Plate

would be really interesting , also a new album!

wipeacdc@hotmail.com
never too old or young to rocknroll!!!!!!

Does anybody know how to get info about tickets in Belgrade, Montenegro, etc / the former eastern rep., in english. I consider going, but it´s a bit hard languagewise...

Concerning Keith, I was shocked about the YouTube interview - shold really NOT have been cast... but, he is simply absolutely pissed - probably in Frankfurt as well!!?

I hope for a smaller club and arena tour before their 50th bash. Every ticketholder then gets a code for a website where you can vote for 5 songs out of maybe 80-90. It would be a charity tour and called no holds barred. And the fans would be quick to call it Cohl behind bars or no Cohl grrrrr tour or something like that!;-)
How about that!??

Perhaps this is the last hurrah . I hope I'm wrong ,I would like to see new material released even if they discontinue touring .

Any thoughts ?

I would be shocked if they ever do another tour on this scale, but depending on the health of the band I can see them doing smaller tours in the future- maybe 10-15 arena shows in the U.S. and some more in Europe. They may actually perform better in this scenario. The huge globe hopping tours take their toll on people their age.

BV, you said this is the final touch? In your opinion the final touch for this tour or the final touch period? And if the latter do you think they will make some grand announcement AFTER the tour is done?

Do you know if there will be another Stones fair, at the Bonnington Hotel while the boys are in town?

Yes I remember bv also mentioning a U.S. tour not too long ago. I think he is playing his cards close to the vest. On any given day,bv will say they will go on forever, tour the states, finish in London. I think he just gets tired of answering these questions. The truth as always is nobody knows. But if they don't start turning in some better performances in Europe, than their won't be much demand for any more tours.
