From "The Rolling Stones complete recording sessions" by Martin Elliott:

"Mick Taylor plays a Nashville strung guitar, a technique used by contry and western artistes. Various jams ... have also been bootlegged. Gram Parsons would have featured on these out-takes, indeed one version of Wild Horses includes his guitar playing.

Wild Horses was released as a single in the States butonly attained a number 28 position - the Stones most unsuccessful chart rating to date."
