I sort of planning to go at least to Bucharest and it seems that I am all alone for that.
I am from Hungary and found reasonable flight ticket from Vienna to Bucharest, on 16th June to, and 18th back. (it's cca. 100euros with fees).
What's your plan for Bucharest?

I'm just thinkin' whether to go directly from Belgrade or return from there and start from Vienna again. I'm sure you meant 16th july?! You would fly from Vienna?At least we could stay at the same hotel in Bucharest..

Oh sorry, of course it is july.

I'm not going to Belgrade.

Flights to Bucharest from Vienna are much much cheaper than from Budapest, and there are a lot of flights, while Budapest/Bucharest is very expensive and not covering my travel plans, which is go there on the 16th of july, see the Stones next day and leave the day after.

Have you booked hotel in Bucharest or can you suggest some?

I wont bet my last 1,000 bucks on it, but much indicates there will be no gig.

Did some research this last nite.

There is a severe risk of a huge screwed source here,because they use the Chyrill alphabet there, and I have no such keys on my keyboard,
neither installed in my Windows Office package.

Hope I'm wrong.. Sure we'll know the closest following days.

Please note George Michael & also Aerosmith are coming the weeks before
to that Olympic Stadium, it might be a good idea to see how their gig

Flying from Bucharest to Budapest costs 25 Euros with Whizz Air!
I'll not go to Kiev, but I'll go to Belgrade by train from Vienna and then by train to Bucharest

Es gibt da jeweils einen Nachtzug von Wien nach Belgrad und von Belgrad nach Bucharest.

Du meinst zurück von Bucharest? Da nehmen wir einen Flug nach Budapest mit Whizz Air - da gibt's (oder gab's) Promo Angebote um 0 € - insgesamt kostete ein Flug dann 25 Euro p.P.

WizzAir Bucharest/Budapest

it may be cheap or whatever, problem is, that the show is on tuesday, and wizzair flights both direction operate on tuesday, thursday and saturday. That means I could fly from Budapest on SATURDAY! then coming back on Thursday which is a waste of time for me.
Flights from Vienna are on a much better schedule...and more flights going to the main airport of Bucharest, which is closer to the city.

Me, I would not take train from Bucharest to Budapest 'cause it takes 15 hours! and believe me, railway system her in the eastern part of europe is not what it used to be. It's more like an adventure than a pleasant trip

Nur ungefähr - Wien-Belgrad kostet Hin und Retour ca. 80 Euro, ich muss nochmal anrufen wieviel nur eine Hinfahrt kostet. Belgrade-Bucharest kostet Hin und Retour 44 Euro.
Ich denke dass die einfachen Fahrten etwas mehr als die Hälfte kosten werden. Plus Aufschlag für einen Liegewagen oder Schlafwagen.

With the Vorteilscard it is 45 Euros for the train to Belgrade, +20 Euros for a Liegewagen or +30 Euros Schlafwagen.

Was planning to go to Kiev, since my family came from the Ukraine, more than 100 years ago. However - there seems to be some political unrest in Kiev at the moment and I feel I dont wanna be a "street Fighting Woman" this summer. Could have been nice in Paris in '68, but this is different...
