IORR Users Wish List For European Summer Tour 2007
Posted by: Baboon Bro ()
Date: February 15, 2007 17:05

*drum rolls, pop corn and a steady back beat... * grinning smiley

Most wishes:

She Was Hot 9
Let It Loose 8
Winter 6
Time Waits For Noone 4
Flight 505 3
Emtotional Rescue 3
Mixed Emotions 3
Saint Of Me 3
Coming Down Again 3

From ABB album

BOMH 6
SSC 5
LIND 5
RJ 4
TPIE 4
ONNYA 4
UTR 4
LMDS 4

Most no 1's...
Winter tops 5 lists (one not valid though)
She Was Hot tops 2 lists

On the "ABB poll"
RJ tops 3 lists
SSC ditto
BOMH tops 2 lists

My conclusion: The users of this board want the Rolling Stones to perform
a) She Was Hot, b) Let It Loose, c) Winter, d) Back Of My Hand
e) She Saw Me Coming, f) Rough Justice, g) and at times
Time Waits For No One and
h) Generally more songs from ABB album, mainly from this list:
LIND,TPIE, ONNYA, UTR, LMDS

I havent bothered to sort out any particular Keef-list, but my
impression is thet TPIE is popular, yet not too few love Infamy
and we seem on the whole to like varied Keef-sets; possibly with
TPIE as a steady number?

My suggestion is we delegate to Elmo to drive past Chuckies thorpe
and toss this list over to him... Anyone against?

all songs suggested only once...

Sorry, I still DO NOT understand how you count things.

I just did a quick check on TWFNO, this song has been voted 7 times, not 4! (I've only counted votes from persons which gave a maximum of five songs and voted only once.)

I did not check other songs but it might be likely that they are also not counted correctly. Sorry.

I think the countings should be cross-checked before.

BTW, less than 10 votes for a song that fans are "begging" to be played isn't really impressing.

Mind the deadline.

Sway hadnt too much votes either; its tuff work poppin up for a song among such disparate folks as us

Stoneswolf - I appreciate yer scrutizin', feel free to count..
I have spent some 4-5 hours with this, my time & my patience is limited.
- The first thing you pointed out, was aimed
at a brief impression I just mentioned. I imagine
ya either a clerk or a lawyer in the Real World?

You can see my conclusions: they are not "She Was Hot"
is the only song we wanna hear.

I also find the engagement in this issue was quite lame,
but I feel a new poll after an announcement would attract at least
a doubled amount of votings.
...Still, we have a time factor... If we could get the lads
to rehearse Winter, Let It Loose, SSC, BOMH & Time Waits...
or at least a couple of'em plus give SHW some extra polishin',
then my work here is done & on the Seventh day Baboon resteth.

Just keep on countin till then!

I am open for a discussion for another couple of days,
but at least around this weekend I feel we ought to give
Elmo this mission from Go... Sorry, from IORR...

didn't want to attack you, you're efforts for this voting are great!

I am a scientist, therefore I have to deal with number and statistics far too much. There was no intention to offend you.

"Which data... " grinning smiley
I am also a scientist. I have worked with Historian scholarship
and research plus ditto education plus law suits the last fifteen years.

Final results depends on what postings are given green light or not, my friend.

Here's TWFNO's (didnt got the acronyming there, as appears in the thread) voters:

Terraplane*
WinterSway, which is NOT counted by me as it contains more than five wishes
Stoneswolf*, your own voting or wishing
Gerogelicks*
Jaggerfan*
Thru & thru - contains six wished & therefore not accepted.
jomo297*
= 5 approved wishes or votes.

I missed Terraplanes vote, as I didnt comprehend that TWFNO-thing at first.

Yeah I missed one, cant say (could go back to my outprints,
but I will not do that now, because I have a life and we are
seven people sharing one computer) that changes much.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here is your result:
1) SHE WAS HOT 10
2) TIME WAITS FOR NO ONE 7
3) LET IT LOOSE 6
4) WINTER 6
5) MOON LIGHT MILE 5
6) OUT OF CONTROL 5
7) LAUGH I NEARLY DIED 4
8) FLIGHT 505 3
Mine:
She Was Hot 9
Let It Loose 8
Winter 6
Time Waits For Noone 4
...Same four first, let go not in exactly the same order.
Perhaps preferences influences us, TWFNO was a joker for me,
but one of your choices... I wanted LIL to win, but alas...
Thing is also, I didnt count ABB at all in the general voting
as long as those songs didnt wipe off the others...
ABB songs had their own thread.
I did pay most attention to number Ones (from a classic hit-radio station as a free lancer... winking smiley ) and the most frequent mentioned.
I doubt many would volunteer ABB selections had they not been specifically asked for in a separate thread.
Hi Baboon, no need too struggle, already found a few mistakes in my counting myself. Mistakes happen just too quickly.
sure, and that depends on...
? he mentions five, but never mind.
No need to do that, I'd be happy if the Stones played any of the tunes mentioned here.
actually they shouldn't.
Still, JaggerFan, these songs have a strong position according to
Wolf's counting principles:
"7) LAUGH I NEARLY DIED 4"
8) ---
LET ME DOWN SLOW 3
9) ---
BACK OF MY HAND 2"
BOMH, Justice & SSC even on top of some lists.
Difficult to handle was those brainiacs who posted whole setlists (hello, Kent! smiling smiley )...
Rite now I'm listenin' to Time Waits... a song I always skipped before...
Understand me, I just got a huge pile of all Stones albums in my hands less than three years ago
("Here ya go mate, make five hours of radio...! ").
Thru & Thru's postin':
------------------------------
"Let It Loose
Heart of Stone
Tell Me
Gimme Shelter
Time Waits for No One
+ 3 Keith songs each show, no particular preference
Oops, that's wishing for 8 songs!"
B-U-T I forgot James Lynn's voting. And he picked TWFNO = 6 approved votes.
And I'm pleased I have discovered a new Stones song... Same 'appened
when they started playin Out Of Control along the ABB Tour...
Had to answer my pal Parachute Man what it was.... *blushin'*
Atlanta has many fine "adult entertainment" clubs - titty bars - that should impress even a Swede!
I mean he mentions five song titles and that was what was asked for exactly. (had to do some corrections on my list in the meantime, found the additional LIL, there is not really a tremendous difference with SWH still on pole position...)
Sorry Baboon Bro, meanwhile I must admit that your list fits quie well.
Hadnt Mr Thru & Thru been adding that (looked upon it separately
wonderful) Keef-related, fatal triple wish, I would be givin'him the green card.
Still; No one can say people had no chance edit or adjust their wishes.
On the other hand I figure some have edited; and my printed is by now
a couple of days old. SHould be doublechecked.
Elmo; "--- titty bars - that should impress even a Swede".
Well, well... Yummy... Some good 40-50-55 years have passed since we
layed the foundation of the Land Of The Sin wheree ya could view
bare belly buttons on the silver screen... Actually Danes and Finns
are the most tolerant among the Scandinavians/Nordic countries.
Donnow about Icelanders; but Norway & Norweigans are the Utah or
Moral Majority of our part of the world. But we Swedes are
equipped with double moral as well, hypocrits.
Summary: I Wanna Go There. Me want.
Moreover, i think more people vote in village council elections in remote parts of Uzbekistan than this poll. I mean, the winners had SEVEN VOTES! i'mi sure that'll have a huge effect . . .
