have tickets for Elton John in San Jose Oct. 2. Somehow not as enthused about it as I was for McCartney at Candlestick (great show, almost 3 hours) or the Stones shows last year. Haven't seen Elton since 1974 at Oakland. Couldn't get tickets in 1975, when he played 3 and a half hours at Oakland, with a break in the middle. He does a good job on Honky Tonk Women, which a believe is on 11-17-70. Or 17-11-70 if you're in the UK.
Performer to check out: Nikki Hill, roots rocker from North Carolina. Saw her twice this year. Debut album, Here's Nikki Hill, follows design of Here's Little Richard, debut for the Rev. Mr. Penniman.
ROCK ON

Yep. Too bad Fripp mainly wants to tour in the US...

The Who at Newcastle Dec. 9th

The Who at Liverpool Dec. 11th

The first one would be one of those rare occasions where I cannot say to myself "this must be the last TW concert for me ever...". Though I already saw TW in 3 different occasions for more then 1 night in a tour (NYC-2000, RAH in 2001 and 2001), this is the first time I actually hold tickets for 2 concerts well ahead.
