White is the first coulor printed - so it's under all other colours

You decide what shade of red is gonna be used, you're not stuck to standard CMYK.

Maybe I could give it a go in Photoshop.
just mail me the design as .psd file with layers. my mail address is open.

BV, if you've decided on the printer company, you could inquire about the design file specification they need - and pass it on to Schillid and me.
that would help to get it done in a short time.

Probably less than a beer does at a show these days.

What's the state of play as far as this T-shirt goes, as we're a couple of weeks into Feb now ? Is the design finalised ?

Apologies if the question has already been answered somewhere within the preceding 57 pages, but I can't be bothered to read through them all.

Schillid has finished the design, and is working on the colourprofile, figuring out the best way to provide it to the printing company. So as far as I've understood, it is really a matter of finishing touch before BV can have the shirts produced.

I guess it will be announced at the same time The Stones deliver the goods, i.e. venue dates.

It's OK, just having a little fun. We need a little of that to avoid going crazy with just talk of the design, colours, and process.

Can anyone here say "Bear Beer" ten times very fast?

OK, well, back to the topic.

I dont't know if anyone has already posted on this (probably have) but along with the colours and design, it is of UTMOST IMPORTANCE to think about

THE LONGEVITY OF THE SHIRT OR HOW LONG IT WILL STAY IN GOOD CONDITION.

I mean, is this shirt going to last many a year through much wearing and washing without fading, cracking, tattering, and other forms of physical degeneration?

I know some shirts I buy just seem to fade over a short period of time or washings. Maybe it depends on how much you wear and how you wash, but there are just certain shirts that stand the test of time and I don't mind paying more for them.

Example: the 97-98 Rolling Stones World Tour light gray sweatshirt with those words on the front and a small tongue on the front and Sprint Presents on the back with a pin going through the tongue -- I bought this at the Albuquerque Babylon show and it STILL retains its colours -- they are still bright and shiny AFTER 10 YEARS!!!

Recently, one came available on eBay and I thought I would like to have one for the day when the first does lose it. There is little difference between the two.

With fading, it is not only the colours, but the shirt itself that can fade.

BV, have you or anyone looked into this issue? Do you know which types of paints for the graphics and shirt materials will hold up and last and for how long?

I think it is important that we be able to wear our shirts proudly for many years and really get our money's worth on our investment. Of course, most of us are going to buy more than one, but we will also be giving away some of them.

This may be partly a matter of pride and integrity in the shirts, but it will reflect on IORR itself and thus the pride and integrity of the group. It is what could be described as psychological symbolism. Who are we to ourselves and to the outside world???

I think we should have a long lasting shirt. Think about it!

Good point, Tim.

I personally would not mind spending a bit more for a better quality shirt.

There have been remarks on the quality of both shirt and print, somewhere between page 7 and page 23, but maybe it was earlier or later in the thread.

But did it specifically address the longevity of the shirts -- how all aspects of the shirt will hold up over the years?

No objections against female t-shirts versions. But: I got the notion to open up a pro-Mick (JAGGER - not Taylor) thread. The others are looking in the wrong ,sorry, another direction. Is there no Mick looking left picture. I notice that Charlie - though he is actually sitting - is as tall as the others and that's really good. I fthat can be "manipulated", then search for another Mick picture, too.
Can't wait to meet and greet you in a few months...
Anyway, I stand to my oders of a L or M if L is not available...

By the way, am I the guy who somehow caused this beautiful mess?

Here's my order for a t-shirt (by the way, what about an iorr-t-shirt!). Is that yet unidentified librarian Cindy C?
