thanks for your efforts ablett

I don't mind completing anything I've submitted here.

The trouble is production.
Small quantities can be expensive. I have a friend you can produce line art (eg: logo idea) in flock (a type of vinyl thats heated on to the shirt) and is far more permanent than iron on. Probably about £10 at the most incl. post (I'd have to check). The photography ones would have to be screen printed (expensive) or iron iron (don't last long).

Okay here's my final offer!

A shirt everybody wants to wear and no offending text, devils, tongues, gothic metal letters etc.etc.

Everybody happy?!

Cool Mack Jigger. If we get a few more I'll get a proper price together, find out which idea/option you want to work up and give it a go?

Good idea, maybe start a new topic to get the people together who wants your design?

That would be rediculous! This an open and until some point democratic board. So if you want to open up a topic about your own shirt no reason to stop you?

I'm not so sure. I've had no postive feedback from BV and wouldn't it appear that I'm looking to bypass him in some way.

Lets see if anyone else is interested. If so we can arrange something I'm sure.

It is appreciated though.....

I tried to convert the pic to black and white, but it turned out all balck for some reason. The original magazine cover text for IORR is hard to do because it's not in word as far as I can see. there's some ones that look pretty similar, but if we have to do it it should be done 100%.

Have you got photoshop flash?

Everything you've seen by me on this thread is made with a bit of imagination and the program Paint. That's why I can't make them look as good as yours.

I haven't used Paint so can't help (Apple Mac man). If you want it converted send it on email to design@agripix.co.uk

No need in doing that unless there's some interest shown in it.

Why is it amazing? Just need some patience when doing it, but you can make it OK if you use Paint.

ablett et al,

Since I was last on yesterday, you guys have come up with some REALLY good stuff!

Please don't quit now! I know this is a frustrating process, but it really is starting to feel as if we're getting somewhere.

Keep up the great work!!

Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

Pink and yellow I think was mentioned. ;-)

As I said earlier, if a few get together and really want one of mine made up then I can probably sort something.

A few typographic and editorial observations:

IMO, Gothic fonts are sometimes hard to read. Especially in all caps, and especially "I" character. Sometimes it is a very strange looking I. I don't think that this style typeface is designed to be used in an all-cap layout. I'd suggest that you not set type in an Gothic font in all caps. I would prefer a font thAT is more modern anyway. To me, the Gothic font is too heavy metal or too Olden. Is the font supposed to look "European"? (Forgive me, I am American.)

When choosing a font, pay attention to the readablity of the indivual characters I,O, and R (or i, o,and r ). Especially the "I". The "I" character is very hard to read, often, in a Gothic font.

Choose either upper case ("IORR.ORG"winking smiley or lower case, but if you choose the latter, maybe add "www" and make it "www.iorr.org" to make it more understandable.

Consider Adding the slogan "It's Only Rock n Roll" spelled out too... (unless you've already thought about it...)

It would still be permisible, IMO opinion bv, to use a tongue as long as it was not the copyrighted logo. An illustration, for example. The heart, as a symbol is not readily interpreted "Rolling Stones". Whereas a tongue -- drawn differently than the Stones' official logo -- is immediately read by EVERYONE to be "ROLLING STONES!". I WOULD SUGGEST THAT YOU CONSIDER CHANGING THE HEART TO A STYLIZED TONGUE. There would be no copyright violation, nor disrespect for the Stones.

Good luck with your threads, guys.

More important though... good luck in getting to see the Rolling Stones perform one more time...

This could be the last time
