As already stated a few times above, the tongue is copyrighted and cannot be used.

You can easily use the tongue. Just do it. Nobody would complain I think. I can see why something semi-official should be careful though.

That sketch is GREAT ablett! Would you be able to put some stones related phrase in latin on it, you know how you get the old crests which have some motto on them, and often its in latin. For example, a latin translation of "shine a light", or "rip this joint" or something...?

Make the t shirt cherry red with a shiny silver pattern on it, so it looks nice and classy.

excellent ablett - large and bold design - easily distinguishable from other stones t-shirts.

I like that the scetch is like a sailor's tattoo. Good references to it's Only Rock 'n Roll (The video - Sailor costumes) and Tattoo You.

I think it's like that. he just skipped drawing strings on the scetch. Also I like that the guitar goes into the heart. Symbolises that the guitar's go straight to our hearts and it also resembles Mick Jagger sticking the pen in his heart on the IORR single cover.

A Devil (Sympathetic? Perhaps akin to the Latin death images in the "VL" sleeve?)

"Honky Tonk" Women--a chorus line or burlesque image?

Bottles--Jack Daniels? Rebel Yell? Stoli?

I guess this takes us out of the realm of the "family friendly" in pretty short order...


I'll put in another pitch for using the typeface from the inner credits sleeve of the "It's Only Rock'n'Roll" album. It's cool, modern-looking, unusual and makes an appropriate reference.

Too many elements, I think. 1. A heart. 2. A Stratocaster. 3 and 4: Wings. 5. A torch. It's too much and many of the elements don't make sense in a Stones-related setting.

Just keep it simple. A Telecaster is OK. Apart from that... Perhaps just: www.IORR.org
The Rolling Stones Fan Club of Europe.
The IORR-bit is the most important. Should be the biggest logo. Remember this is for us to be able to identify eachother, and for the Stones to identify us.

A Telecaster only would be too much of a Fender advert!
On the homepage there are the heads of the Stones drawn. Any use of that?
What about lips without a tongue - but the lips a bit in the way they look when Mick sings.
Picking up the European bit I (sorry, vaguely) remember the t-shirt they sold in 1982: a lip-dragon and the shape of Europe plus Eiffel Tower and the like - it's in the cellar and way too short for me today...

I prefer a t-shirt with a unique scetch rather than a huge www.iorr.org

How about Mick, Keith, Charlie, and Ron riding the inflatable dick swinging their arms and instead of confetti shooting out of it, have 4 little splashes with the letters I-O-R-R in each splash arcing towards a crowd of fans (us) and the words 1980 fan club "come ride with us"underneath.

Just an idea, any thoughts?
