I read this same story in 33-1/3: Exile on Main St. by Bill Janovitz. An interesting little book.

A bit of collectors info on the cards:
Postcards in the US version of Exile has red text. As the cards posted here by Rockman
Postcards in UK pressed Exiles has black and white text on the cards. As cards posted here by Deltics
This should be noticed as I have seen some copies with the wrong combination of cards and LP's which only tells me that the cards have been added to the LP at a later stag.....
