At the today Newspaper "Express Düsseldorf" is a Report, that the City Düsseldorf tries, the Rolling stones to book.

I know the LTU Arena (OlD Name Rhein Stadium) is better than those the Rhein Energie Cologne Stadium or the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen.

I love Düsseldorf !!!

I hope it become true

Zudem will sich „The Police“ wieder vereinigen.

as Cologne 06 sold quite well it would make sense to play in that region.

Karlsruhe would make sense too as it attracs also people from cities as Freiburg (140km) who always had long journey to cities as Munich or Stuttgart. It's also near to the border to France (Strassbourg) and might attract people there.

Perhaps it would be a good idea to play Bale again or Freiburg as these cities are located in the three country border Switzerland, France and Germany. And they have an Airport.

Or maybe Kaiserslautern with its World Cup stadium.

For sure, they'll play in the "Ruhr-area", if they come.
There live about 5,3 million people, with the nearby regions, it has even 10 million people. Every single Stones-tour had at least one stop here:
Köln 2006, Oberhausen 2003, Köln 1999, Geslenkirchen and Düsseldorf 1998, Köln 1995...I don't beleive in a gig in Dortmund, where the stadium has a capacy of about 85.000 - too much, one year after the last tour.
I guess, they'll play in LTU-Arena Düsseldort, which has a capacy about 55.000, the same dimension as Daimler-Stadion Stuttgart or RheinEnergie-Stadion Köln, and we all know both venues were almost sold-out in 2006.

yepp. I'm wondering that they might play Karlsruhe as it#s quite near to Stuttgart were they played last year. I think they should play farer south to attract also people from Switzerland (in case there is no suisse concert scheduled)

I have red the article,too.

It makes sense. Because german ticket service company "getgo" (Germany) is involved with shares in the "LTU Arena Company". And the company (US)" ticketmaster owns shares from "getgo".

LTU Arena, Düsseldorf, Germany, 2007:

I predict the following:

The Stones will honour their cancelled dates and play where they sold the most tickets in the most time. "Shine A Light On Our Bank Balances Tour 07". Hell, they can do a double header with The Police.

Düsseldorf has a perfect arena/stadion !
If the sun is shining the concert is open air. For rainy days there is a closeable roof. !

Düsseldorf has an international airport !

Düsseldorf is near Netherlands and Belgien !
