According to BV (and an IORR member that talked to a member of the Stones crew tonight - Sunday - in NYC) The Hololulu show is off. According to the IORR guy LA is being moved to the Honolulu date. See the last comments on the post "Please Don't Postpone Dodgers Stadium" by the N.N. on this page for their full comments. Sorry to everyone that's effected. Was thinking about it myself (going) but was gonna wait a bit longer......

How certain is this BTW, MicksB?

I guess the Chicago gigs were my last big travel plans to see the stones. Not only illness but also poor tickets sales are a reason for cancellation. I think many hard core fans already made travel plans to see the Honolulu gig as it was advertised as the very last one in the USA.

Baboon Bro, saw it on the end of Notorious Nics "Don't Postpone Dodger's Stadium" Thread. BV left a comment and then the other guy (sorry, can't remember his name). When BV reports it I take it as total fact. He seems to be very careful to not say anything unless he's sure. Sad situation, I guess it's sales in Hawaii but not sure. MB PS Figured the faster it gets put up MAYBE at least one person will avoid wasting money on a not needed plane ticket. who knows.......

I don't think it's proffessional to cancel one show and postpone another due to the date change of another. AC should have been cancelled. In Spain the cancelled all the shows, and they didn't move any other show. Now things are different, why?

My scheduled concert, Göteborg, was
first cancelled. Then postponed - new date.
Then, finally, cancelled.

Sorry for that Baboon... I got postponed-cancelled three shows, Valladolid 5 hours before the show...

This does not come as a surprise to me. This Fall Tour seemed to me as having been a real pain for this Band accustomed to success and notoriety. What could have been a Dream Farewell is turning to a sort of crucifixion. Unable to fill any stadium without having to drastically cut the prices. The musical area has changed profoundly in the US and they did not realize it. A brutal signal was the poor selling of ABB which is a great album by Stones standards. A band that drew 80 K audiences which can with immense difficulties attract actually 40 K audience should question itself. Back to the basics as in rugby, i.e. to still be on top means to have strong new material on line with what people want to listen to without ignoring where your roots are. I was shocked about people complaining in Austin that seated places were not proposed in the GA. Is that a real Stones audience. Don't believe so. High Time the Stones come back to South America and Europe.

On RS.com the 2 dates are still listed as scheduled

Casino shows will never get cancelled, given the huge payments the casinos make to promote the shows. I was in Vegas in March and in AC on the weekend. The casinos were packed with Stones fans both times and you would be shocked by the amount of money being gambled.


Not that I agree with any of this, just the facts.

You can still buy tickets through ticketmaster.com for the Honolulu show. It reminds me of Brussels when just a few days prior of the concert you could still buy tickets although it was clear to us that the show would be cancelled (postponed- cancelled)

Well, screwed by the boys again. My fourth cancellation (first this tour). Atleast I will only lose $100 to honolulu!(I really lucked out on that one!) But there is one thing for sure!

I will NEVER book a trip to see a stones concert again! I guess I ain't to bright- it takes getting knocked on the head twice in San Jose in 99, once in Amsterdam in 2003 and now Honolulu. Darn, I was really looking forward to it! I will wait to hear the official report- but darn, darn darn!

Vegas will probably be my last show- if they play that is!

If this is true the rolling stones are going to be playing to an empty stadium! most people in LA leave for thanksgiving! all the brokers will be able to get there money back, this is truly a sad way to end the tour, by pissing people off.

What about all those poor Honolulu kids who have been saving up for three months to buy a ticket?

Good one Gazza. I for one am now broke and will probably be off to Vegas to try and win a few bucks and see the show one last time.

What is totally unbelievable is: They are still selling Honolulu tickets as of this moment. That is really sad- Does the Stones Organization care at all about their fans???

with all respect to BV - he said many things that were right, many that were not and you MB all you do is making a panic on the message board.

there is no official word on it. Im highly interested in what's gonna happen with LA as I keep m yfingers crossed it stays as it is. II can imagine I'm not the only one and seeing such a title each time I enter this forum just makes me sick.
