Today I was in my local record store and noticed that all the Stones CD onle cost 9.99 Euro except the Bigger Bang only 7.99 Euro, and there where a lot of Japan releases for 19 something Euro, and I saw the DVD SFTD for 9.99 Euro.

Didn't buy anything though.

Last week I bought an Alice Cooper anthology CD. I had met him in the Rattlesnake Inn/Halifax last Saturday. He was a really nice guy and I felt that it would be a nice idea to buy one of his CDs. Just a means of paying my respect to his music.

JohnR, what did you think of the Dresden Dolls CDs? I take them only in small doses because they grind. a little.
Was just listening to some of the re-issues of Mott the Hoople yesterday too.
And "Coney Island Baby" was surprisingly hard to find. But hwat a great album!

Hey Meg- Ryan Adams and The Cardinals was very good on saturday, hope you enjoyed Churchill Downs!
Ryan played a setlist, dedicated to his 2005 trilogy... The Cardinals are an awesome, tight, rocking band... but if you have tickets, for any of the remainder of his European shows, please do not expect, stripped- down acoustic harmonies (as seen during his February solo shows)...this tour is full-on
rock and roll.

Here's saturdays setlist:-

A Kiss Before I Go
Please Do Not Let Me Go
Magnolia Mountain
The End
To Be Young
Tears Of Gold
Games
What Sin
Dear John
Cold Roses
Egyptology
Bartering Lines
Egyptology
Goodnight Rose
Beautiful Sorta
Party Clown
DJ Reggie Rap"Shakespeare Rumble In Da Bronx"
Blue Hotel
Easy Plateau
Not So Peaceful Valley
Dear Chicago
Shakedown->
Expressway To Yr.Skull

Egyptology
Pyramid
I See Monsters

Hey Guys

What are the extra tracks on Lou Reed - Coney Island Baby?, also how is the mix, is it a big improvement on the old CD version?.

I love that album, a classic.

My big listening at the moment is the Who sampler, Wire and Glass for the upcoming album, its surprisingly great. And the Dolls album, best record of the year, really looking forward to the show in a couple of weeks. Funny that the geriatrics still rule smiling smiley

Humanriff, th etxra tracks are
Nobody's Business
Downtown Dirt
Leave Me Alone
(Those 3 tunes are always avai;able in that period, On some CIB ecitions or Street Hassle or The Bells)
Crazy Feeling
She's My Best Friend
Coney Islanf Baby
(Different versions)

As far as the mix it sounds better to me. I never thought the CD mix was that bad. But I've only had a German edition before which was very good.

Chelsea,

Don't mean to be a nit-picker, but the first three xtras on CIB are found on Between Thought & Expression, the Lou box set. Downtown Dirt and Leave Me Alone are quite different than the versions on Street Hassle.

Cheers
