Regardless of what he did Italy were going to win on penalty that may be why he snapped he knew it is the end and nothing he can do to pull it back.

I just think that it should not go to penalty in Final they should keep playing until one side scores.

don't know that much about the sport - but watched most of it. France was clearly the better team - but that matters not in sport. Congrats Italy. And, I was shocked at Zidane - the US announcers were at a complete loss for words over his idiocy. Could well be that cost France the title. What a legacy to go out on!

absolutely - the point of the game is TO WIN - not to dominate the action. The better team was clearly France - so perhaps by your reasoning the should have been given the trophy and just dispensed with the playing of the game, right?
