Maybe if you add the page adress to your Favorites you don't have to write it a hundred times neither...

Thanks for the Index, BTW!!! I'll take some popcorn too.

Not everybody got threads like those on their CV!
I've got "What did you have for dinner?" and "What car do you drive?"....but they fall short..

There should be a sort of "permanent thereads" section!

i agree that these threads are worth preserving.
but heavens, it's not me that makes them worthwhile -
it's the great Guitar Connoisseurs who so kindly and generously and learnedly contribute to them.
thanks and praises to you all!

Awesome thread! I don't play but I consider myself to be a connoisseur of fine guitars, especially Keith and Ronnie’s!!

I have spent dozens and dozens of hours unsuccessfully googling for info on the boy's guitars and the info is all right here!

Thanks

In the first thread on Pg 3 there is a shot of all guitars on stands from the 81/2 tour. The accoustic that Jagger played on WOAF (and maybe LIB too) is a 12 string! I never knew that.

I am really confused about that guitar. I am sure he always played a 6 string. Then while I went through just about all of Ms Sssoul's threads and saw shots of Jagger in 82 playing that very guitar it is very clearly a 6 string.

Jagger played two: a six string Ovation for Let it Bleed, and a 12-string Ovation for Waiting on a Friend.

This thread can not be bumped enough. One of the alltime best archives on IORR.
I have been contemplating something similar on StonesBOOKS, but I am not sure how it should be approached.

Sssoul, on Page 8 of the thread "Show us your favorite Jagger photos" there is a shot of Jagger around 67. Laying down is a steel blue/white Tele. Don't think that one has foind a home in the Stones Guitar Index.

Hmm, in which thread should I post a great un-watermarked pic of Keith with the infamous Maton?

hm, good question! how about Keith's Very Early Guitars?
or maybe it would count as an Oddity in the Custom Jobs & Other Oddities -
or we can always start a That Maton Thread. bring it on! :E
