Keith Richards +Mick Taylor+Ron Wood=Paul Westerberg

The greatest Rolling Stones album since 'Exile On Main St' is Paul Westerberg's 'Dead Man Shake'...I cannot believe that none of the Stones have worked with him. If Ronnie OR Keith ever leave the Rolling Stones, Paul Westerberg is the ONLY person--in my forty years of listening to music--that could ever take their places.

The Replacements opened for Keith and the Winos at the Meadowlands Arena for the last gig of the Talk is Cheap tour. I was hoping for some interaction maybe during the encore, but it was not to be. Great show anyway. I always thought Paul was a bit of a proto-Keith with a little Lennon thrown in, but in truth they are very different.

My original message was written whilst heavily intoxicated listening to 'Dead Man Shake.' What I meant was that he copies Keith, Ron, and Mick's guitar sounds pretty well on that album.

It is now the next day and I am sober. Please forgive my foolishness.

Posting (or calling anyone) whilst drunk...not recommended.

Well he has come close. On his first solo album Mac and Rick Richards played. Ron Wood supposeldy was around. Paul W. is very much his own man though. I don't know if you have been listening to all of his solo stuff. It is very up and down.
Westerberg has a song though that has a strange effect on me though. Only song in the world that doesn this. Everytime I hear it, I start to cry.
The song is from "EventuallY' and called "Time Flies Tomorrow"

"...no longer shall you trudge 'cross my peaceful mind."
