Hey t2y, check out my last post on the Mayberry thread (bottom of page 1) if you haven't already.

Hey Elmo, I did see your reply on the once dormant Mayberry thread. And that is hilarious about the pink Floyd shirt. Were you able to convince the new owner to try it on while you watched? It doesn't hurt to ask.

She runs a bar near Valdosta that we may play at soon, so I didn't want to get on her bad side just yet!

My judgement was kinda cloudy about 3:30 Friday night anyway!!!! Just getting over it. We used to Keef-Out (my now-dead friend made up this term) just about every week-end, but no more. Feel rough for days afterwards.

I know all about that, Elmo. I guess it's because we're getting older. I used to love the challenge of partying all night and then function in society the next day.

I am posting on my friends site, Freddy Sessler was my father, my name is Stefan Sessler. Freddy was indeed a very close friend to keith as well as just about everyone else who was anyone in 70's rock and roll. You want more info on Freddy read Victor Bockris bio on Keith, fairly accurate. Freddy first met Keith in the early 70's...they shared several passions including WW2 history (my Dad was a holocoast survivor) and music. Freddy, along with James Callaghan, woody and keith were all present at the famous bust at Fordyce, Arkansas ('72 tour I believe, maybe '75) We buried him in his Fordyce 4 T-shirt of which each of the main players had one. Freddy was there for Keith following the Toronto bust when everyone else more or less left him out to dry. Freddy toured with the stones continually, Finding much pleasure in traveling around the world with the worlds greatest rock and roll band. He was a master storyteller. He certainly lived the most interesting life of anyone I've ever known. More often than not the after show party ended up in his room and he continued with this lifestyle well into his 70's.His lAST TOUR WAS BRIDGES TO BABYLON, I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO CATCH ABOUT 30 shows on that long tour with him. We all miss him greatly. A Stones backstage just doesn't seem the same without Freddy Sessler there. RIP Daddy.

Nice post, Stefan. Thanks for sharing. How ironic that he passed away on Keith's birthday.

Loved the fact that there was a "commemorative" T-shirt of the "Fordyce Four"!

Freddy was a good friend of mine.
Very often he took me backstage, told me lots of stories about Keith and him.
He was guest in my house and I was in his home in Phoenix.
Last time I saw him was in New Jersey in the Memory Motel for his party.
RIP Freddy

Freddie was the best. Introduced me to Keith and Ronnie many times. Backstage with him a zillion times. "On the road" with him since '89 tour when he lived in NYC/75th street. HE IS MISSED...

@Stefan ...thanx for sharing your memorys on your father...

This thread show´s actually ...that he is still very present in many minds ...

and all the people who had had the big luck to meet him ...

they can´t forget him...so people who didn´t forget...never dies.

and....Oh yes *smile ...he was a great storyteller...

but as he told me in 1995.... that Keith sang for him ... on his 70th

birthdayparty ... you could real see and feel...what that means to him.
