It is not just a plain list in the German 'Rolling Stone'. The author has a description or some writing about every song (16 pages total). Wolfgang Doebeling is a music journalist and Stones fan and has been writing about our most favorite band for a few decades. It is of course a personal list, nothing wrong with that.

Too bad the Stones didnt write Little Red Rooster, Under The Boardwalk, That’s How Strong My Love Is or Everybody Needs Somebody To Love.

The list isnt horrible but I'm baffled as to how some of these songs could be considered in the best 100 Stones songs of all time.

I mean not to say there's nothing interesting about them, or that I dont listen to them, just that I definately would not put them on a mix cd for any of my friends. Going Home isnt a horrible track but definately not worthy of the list.

Like you said, its a personal list so its all subjective. Still some fantastic tracks on there, most of them infact. 10% error margin...

Shattered at #86? I realize many think its not their best work, but its far better than 60% of there others. Now I am truly Shattered in VA - However, I am glad to see Sister Morphine in top 10 and Memorary Motel at 26. I have a sneaky suspision that in 5 years rough justice will be in the top 100.

It is his b... list and he will have his reasons for it. 'Goin Home' to be ranked so high is a very positive surprise. Love that song and find it underrated. More psychadelic (druggy) than all of Satanic Request put together.

Must get that issue.
