Light The Fuse - Toronto 2005

I see a couple of references to this throughout the site. Was this digitally released earlier and I missed it? I tried to download it from the Archive site and , of course, it isn't available in the US.

Great release. It's still available for purchase in the Stonesarchive: [www.stonesarchive.com]

How is it on Google Music? We're still stuck with the archive up here, I think.

Would love the full pro-shot of that show; I'd say it will come as part of the current From the Vault Series

If they follow the Vault Series logic, I think it may be issued too.

I hope they do release it as a part of the series. I've been emailing the customer service folks at the Archive site to put this in the queue for general release.

I'm not really all that into more recent concerts. I mean, I like watching/listening them when they happen, but they're not something I go back and listen to much. I mainly listen to '69-'82 for live stuff. But I really enjoyed the Light The Fuse bootleg. At the time I was a bit letdown. There had been lots of rumors/hope of a possible El Mocambo release, and here they were releasing a Toronto club gig... just not the one that many of us wanted. The prospect of a 2005 show being released as part of the archive wasn't very exciting, but the atmosphere of the club gig makes for a pretty entertaining show. And it's a pretty good setlist. Still though, I liked all the other shows in the archive series better, except for Tokyo. I like this a lot more than Tokyo.

Well said. I agree totally.

It's a solid album. 19th nervous breakdown has nice country twinge to it on this version. Back of my hand is killer on this version.

We need ALL their warm-up club gigs as vault releases.

Aren't the Archive releases gone from Google Music ?

Yes, they've been removed for a few months.

Well does that mean that Live at Leeds '82, Tokyo Dome '90 and Toronto '05 can be considered as out of print ?

I don't know, since Norway never got access to those albums through Google Music smiling smiley

I can understand them taking these down as they were taking up some valuable server space on googles bank of servers.

I wonder though, whether they'd consider letting me host the archives through my gmail account. Can't be more than a couple of gigs and I think I have well over 100 GB space available.

Come on google, be a team player!

I'd say not until the Stones Vault store removes them. So they'd be rare, but not out-of--print, I guess.

Considering how the El Mocambo shows have similar mystique for us Stones fans as the Basement Tapes have for Dylan fans, AND bv says the Stones organization keeps tabs on this forum, I'm confident we'll get at least a digital release of the shows. We need to keep begging for them just like Dylan fans begged for the Basement Tapes! I vote we keep a sticky tread petitioning for the El Mocambo shows' release cool smiley

I just listened to She's So Cold from that show...not too shabby. It gives the 81-82 version a run for its money.

A slow Nervous Breakdown does nothing for me. They did a decent version at the Double Door show 1997.

Great show, terrible sound mix on the official release. Bass is way too hot in the mix and guitars are really thin. Gives me a headache listening to it. Wish it was remixed because the performance is great.

So are folks in the US able to purchase the Light the Fuse from the stones archives site? I can't. Says not available in US (I am not trying to download the FLAC files either). Seems to be not available.

3. 8:27 - 19th Nervous Breakdown
4. 14:24 - She's So Cold

Your best bet is to find someone who has it who doesn't hide their address and ask them nicely. winking smiley
