Now the 'big bucks' question for today:
who do we recognize here, in these pictures?
Some IORR-posters, maybe?
Anybody around that want's to come forward? smoking smiley

I love these kind of off-stage/audience shots. Maybe time to start a new thread on that...

This picture <by Gered Mankowitz> is also to be seen on this page and refers to a "caged sequence".
Has anyone any information on that?

Just as long as the guitar plays, let it steal your heart away

Back then the crowd was a show all to themselves. Love to see "Then and Now" photos of these people, probably be pretty shocking.

peace

Great concert-----Even though it ended early.
I looked but I'm not in the pictures. haha,

The only thing is I don't remember the fans looking
like "hippies".....The shots of the fans look older then I remember.

Most Now photos would probably just be somebody standing there with their cell phone.

Great shots. I was lucky (unlucky?) enough to have gotten to see a few shows at the old JFK. Place was HUGE. Could easily fit 100k for a concert. Maybe 120K.

By the end the bleachers were made of fiberglass and if you were wearing shorts pants, your ass would itch for days.

There used to be so much LSD at all the JFK concerts, regardless of the band playing.

Amazing to think this was only 9 years post Woodstock and by the crowd, it looks it.

Well there was certainly a lot of punk in the States at the time, but this wasn't a punk concert or CBGB.

Yeah, that bandana shot took me back. Used to wear one the same way, but for a more practical reason. It was an easy way to get to class in the morning without having to deal with my hair. I also used to use them as belts.

Great look back at concert life in the mid 70's. Thanks for the link, thecitadel.

I was thinking the same. The crowd is 70s hippes, partly and the band is trying to be hip and punk.

Hopefully he's alive and well and still the shit. I like to think that the reason the young lady has a slightly irritated look on her face is because right before the picture was snapped he had been doing some Jagger peacocking/finger wagging. Then of course he switched back to guitar in time for the shot. Which I think would make a way better album cover than those two scary looking folks on No Security.

I wonder what song he's playing. I can't make out the model of the air guitar, but looks like maybe he's playing a G chord. Far Away Eyes perhaps?
