I've posted this as semi-OT because it has something to do with the Stones:

"Family Tree and testimonial posters tracing the band from Little Boy Blue & The Blue Boys and The Rolling Stones to the present day and featuring hand-written messages from Pretty Things past and present".

Or do you meant this post should not be OT? If that's the case, I can edit.

<<Nothing against the Pretty Things but how is this "semi" OT?>>

Bill Wyman took this guy's place in the band. Meet Dick Taylor, the Stones' first bass player.

Ok guys thanks for the education.

Thank goodness Bill got the gig because it might have gotten confusing with two Taylor's, two Mick's and a Dick.......winking smiley

This looks amazing Cristiano. I already have most of their albums and CDs. Do you know what will be on the DVD compilation.

I know that Reelin' In The Years worked on this a few years ago and planned to release it as part of their excellent series that also saw titles by Dusty Springfield, The Small Faces and The Hollies.

Here's a great clip of them doing Private Sorrow from French TV in 1968. Check out drummer Twink in full mime mode.

Amazing indeed. I also have most of their CDs but the two Rarities CDs and the bonus tracks seems very interesting to me.

There's not so much information about the content of the DVDs. Here's what's on the link:

DVD 1:

Midnight To Six, The Pretty Things 1965-70, produced by Reelin' in the Years [2 hours duration]

Bonus Material:

The Pretty Things. On Film [13:00]
Rosalyn (Promo Video) [2:20]
Eve Of Destruction (Promo Video) [3:03]

DVD 2:

S.F. Sorrow - Live At Abbey Road [1 hour]

And I just found this trailer for the Midnight to Six documentary, that was scheduled to be released in 2012, I think, but was later shelved by Reelin' in the Years.

Wow - great to see that trailer. SF Sorrow is one of my favourite albums of all time. How many known video clips are there from the album, filmed in the 60s. I know of Baron Saturday and Death.

One of the DVDs on the box, S.F. Sorrow Live at Abbey Road (1998), one of the earlier live Internet broadcasts at the time, has been available for several years. One of the special moments, in addition to a guest appearance by Arthur Brown is one by David Gilmour. Interesting to see Gilmour really stretching and pushing himself in such a straightforward up-tempo rock fashion, quite a change from the style in which we're used to seeing him play.
