You Got The Silver is one "kitchen door"-song. Midnight Rambler is another...
That's kinda wild - I never noticed that! I wonder which one latched onto "kitchen door" first--Mick or Keith?
Midnight Rambler was recorded, I think, slightly earlier than You Got the Silver, not that that necessarily means anything.
The same Glimmer Twin might have injected the kitchen door into both lyrics - that was a highly collaborative period.
I believe kitchen doors are (like loving cups) pretty common in blues lyrics
And doors of various kinds appear in quite a lot of Stones songs, don't they.

Not quite as common as back doors, but, yeah
Keith uses card playing as wellQuote

How many songs with "my cards are on the table", 4?
Ugh this is by far my least favoriute Jagger line of his newer songs. I keep hearing it.

You did
"The sun's gonna shine on my back door someday" is a well-used line in countless blues songs. That's what I had in mind here.
+ all the back door-men and women, of course

"I woke up this morning" is another one. And it's on Honest I Do. I know it was composed by Jimmy Reed,
but the Stones have made a nice version of this song.

Yes they sure did.
Waking up in the morning is another blues standard. One has to start somewhere! :E

Well now, for a real "stones by numbers" kind of song:
I'm so sick and tired of my friends
who come around and say
that the cards are on the table.
So, I'm gonna draw the line at my kitchen door.
