This might help [www.discogs.com]

There have been several repros over the years (I think at least three).

The covers and labels of the repros were all printed from scans of the original, so you have a loss in picture quality. The cover photo of the repros is not as sharp as the original and the colors are slightly off. The labels of the repros I have seen never match the bright colors of the original and always look a bit dull. Once you've seen an original side-by-side with a repro you'll immediately see the differences.

For the original vinyl you have to go for
LPD-10990-X on side 1
and
LPD-10991-X on side 2.

The original sleeve is "wabbelig" as on the first German LPs.

The counterfeit releases have got
MZF 4777 / A and
MZF 4778 / B as matrix.

With a bit of luck you even find the right innersleeve,
it´s like an envelope.

Here´s mine:

Be careful about the counterfeit copies. Fortunately they are pretty easy to see. For example the letters are not glitter gold on the label (to my memory) it's been a while since I looked at one. The sleeve is a little more hard to tell. The original is a little shiny and very thin. I believe it's almost impossible to find one without a little ring ware. Also there are 2 record label variations, the later version is boxed and the 1st pressing has Decca in the retro oval shaped logo. This is a fantastic record, every hard core fan should have this if they can find it. Also it's said there were 2000 copies made for the German fan club, or book club. Good luck.

1st pressing Decca in the oval logo. 2000 copies for the German fan club.
It's original, almost not to find these days.

To clear it up there are two original labels existing with the same matrix:
LPD-10990-X, LPD-10991-X

First pressing : oval or round Decca emblem (1965)
Second pressing : boxed Decca emblem (1967)

Round 2000 were made as first pressing, a smaller amount as second pressing.
Withdrawn in dec 1967.

Btw Dieter Hoffmann wrote a fantastic article in his Basement News No 27 (March 2001): Beware of Imitations !!

Holy cow, either I got a really good deal on my copy or that one on ebay is overpriced. Havo, I think you live in NL or DE? Anyhow, check the local record fairs in time you are sure to find one. I see them a few times a year in Frankfurt. The most expensive one was NM- at 500 or 600 euros. Good luck and happy hunting.

Some copies miss the last three digits of the order-number on the flip-side of the cover - I never found out if the one without was the initial pressing or the other one. My copies have the same record (label, matrix) inside.

Overpriced?

What's the difference between 600€ and 550£?

100€? for an 10" if you would like to have it!

And above all "" You can make an offer on it""

You can make me an offer for the first edition.

But is it not in very good condition.

On the other hand, you don't have to come up with 600€ !

Order number is complete!

My e-mail address is open.

Tioms, didn't know the difference between U.S. and euro/GBP. It's $119 cheaper for Americans to buy it at the Euro rate and more expensive for a European to buy at the GBP rate. Still, anyway you look at it 550 GBP is high unless it's truly near mint, in my opinion. Of course some people would pay anything for it I suppose. In the end the value is what somebody attaches to it. Learned that hard lesson when I tried to sell some rare records a long time ago. Lost my ass on the deal. A nice lesson in life though in hindsight.

If the seller ask £550 for his item than you have to pay him in Britisch Pounds:

£ 550 is in $ 867,58
£ 550 is in € 695,10

this is on money value TODAY, NOT YESTERDAY or TOMMOROW

Hi Havo, honestly this is way too much - I would suggest a price of EUR + 500,- for the 2nd pressing with the rectangle logo, this one is really hard to get. The 1st edition is rare but not as rare as the 2nd edition and should not be that expensive. 350, maybe 400 EUR for a very good copy. Have a look at ebay.de every now and then.
